WTB: healthy sr longblock asap!

just did my swap and had rodknock on startup, i need a good SR long block to get my car back on the road, im located in louisiana.
any help appreciated. i called a bunch of engine suppliers but none of them sold just the engine, whole swap only.

I just went throught the same thing... it is nearly impossible to get a long block at a decent price shipped here to Louisiana...

I currently have my engine at the machine shop (Shreves Automotive in Kenner talk to Donny) and putting new pistons (wiseco), rods(eagle) and bearings in. Also they are doing a valve job on the head.

The cost is right at 2k for all of it which is close to what a long block would cost with shipping if you can get one. Plus now I know what the engine is and didnt get a long block from someone that may have issues itself.

Arent you an GLRace? In Madisonville? Im in Slidell. I left you a message on GLrace. if your the guy with the Ka stuff for sale.. I know a guy that wants to turbo a KA and may be interested in some of your parts.

i get my engines at jdm engine depot in paterson NJ. they sell longblock redtops for $1300. last month i got a engine,harness,and tranny for $1300 . i dont know if they still have that deal going on. just tryin to help ya out.

go to jdmenginedepot.com to get there # they have more motors in stock then on there website. they ship also.

or if u want just get the main bearings and change em. and u yur motor should run good
