MacGyver moment!KA wont idle,think maf wires HOSED

Hey,
I downloaded an FSM in PDF form.I can't find the section with the MAF mass airflow wiring diagram?

KA wont idle,think maf wires HOSED

Yes,
This is the KA24DE dohc engine.
The clutch fan "contacted" the Fan shroud and also
took out the MAF wires. I replaced the water pump an installed the Altima electric fans.
It gets "AFRICA HOT" here in Orlando!

I happened to have an inverter,solder,and solder gun in the car.
I guess I was feeling like MacGyver that day?

Does anyone know the correct order of the three wires on the KA MAF?
I believe I have them white,black,and black/white starting from closest
to the engine.

Car runs great otherwise.I thought it was a vacuum leak at first.

I Hope to have an Orlando shop,(Chris at www.Carismallc.com or the www.Enjukuracing.com)perform the sr swap in the next two months!

Until then I need to fix this 214k mile ka!

Is your plug completely destroyed? You can't see the order of the wires from the pigtail connector?


Looking at the MAF, having the filter on your right side..

the first wire (from left to right) is:

- white
- black
- black/white stripe
- not used

Yeah..you're right..MacGyver would just twist the wires together and "Viola"!

The wires were ripped away from the connector on the MAF.

I believe I got the order correct.I just need to confirm the order.

If I knew it was 100% right.I would just go back over the wires and assume
that I have a "cold solder".breakin' out my FLUKE meter..etc

actually im pretty sure that MacGyver would be able to push both wires together, wrap then in a rubber bands and ad some toothpicks for good measure

I had a radiator hose clamp break, and then the shit came off in the middle of the road

I used the broken clamp anda piece of plastic from a stereo fuse holder to be able to put that bitch back one. its still ther elol
