Parting out my totaled S13 Coupe

Final Update as of 6/6/07. I no longer have the car aside from the interior plastic pieces, center console, and the suspension bits taken out.

Update for 4/11/07. I'm going to take trim, windows, rear suspension, and some body panels off the car. If no one takes the rest (engine, tranny, diff, semi-stripped chassis) it will be junked by Saturday. Going to take offers otherwise, it's gone.

Update for 3/30/07. So I royally screwed up the original post lol... My apologies since this is my first for sale post and I'm still learning my way around, so I hope I have the forgiveness of those I inadvertently pissed off. First time parting out for that matter. Of course, this never would have happened if the jackass in the bimmer looked both ways before coming out of the stop sign... Anyway, I decided to take another approach so here are some more pics of what exactly is off the car. Rear coilovers are not off yet, as it's holding up the car for now. Also, as of now, I decided that minus the hood and front fenders, rims/tires, brake pads, rotors, interior plastic (dash, instrument cluster, center console), rear windows, and door panels, I'm letting go of the drivetrain (engine and tranny, both on nice new mounts, electrical, ecu, etc.) mounted on the chassis for $450.

Update for 3/27/07. Hey folks, there won't be any shipping; sorry if you live somewhere out of pickup distance. I just think there's too much that can go wrong. Whoever asked for the dash to be shipped, I'd have no idea how I'd even send that out lol... Everything under the hood will be left intact. Anyone who buys the engine/tranny will also be taking what's left of the chassis. I forgot to mention that it's already got the polyurethane motor mounts and Nismo tranny mount, as well as a couple of Energy Suspension bushings that were replaced. Also, the tension rods, power brace, and the front coilovers are out and available.

My project died before finishing it, the result of a person who didn't look both ways at a stop sign. He hit the holy grail of all weak spots on the car and though it probably doesn't seem bad, it's totaled and she's damaged goods now. The way it's been hit makes it a perfect donor car. Here's a breakdown of the list of parts:


Parts with 3,000 miles or less:

-Apex N1 Exv Coilovers miles on them: $900

-Cusco Front Adjustable Pillowball Tension Rods: $250

-Nismo power brace: $120

-Bride seat rails: $100 each for driver (SOLD), passenger; $170 for both

-Brake rotors (almost new OEM) and pads (Hawk Performance Plus) (they wear together so will be sold together): $120

-Tires (Hankook K106 205/55/15) with stock wheels: $160

FYI, these parts are practically new.


Rest of car:

-Recently maintained KA24DE engine (new waterpump, master cylinder, radiator, timing chain and cover, all fluids changed) and transmission (new Exedy clutch, transmission and differential filled with Mobil 1 75w-140): $600

-Original seats (driver side torn on left bolster, dirty; passenger side good, so just swap rails): make offer

-Dashboard with no cracks and working HUD: $100

Take the whole thing for $2,100. I have the title in hand.

It's not just the door. I'll try to post up more pictures later. It's definitely a donor car, though. If you want to fix it, it's got a maintained KA and full suspension on it for $2,100. Oh, another biggy is that if we do come to an agreement and parts will be taken out, bring your tools to take the part needed. My mechanic's been nice enough to let me use his lot for this, but I won't be asking him for any more favors.

As for the prices, I am firm with them. They're not very much for what's essentially brand new, so lowballers will be ignored. I feel I have it priced appropriately to sell as soon as I can. Again, a lot of these parts are practically new and never abused (I never even had a chance to...).

You have to understand, the whole situation was a heart break (from how the accident happened [stupid BMW driver], dealing with the insurance company, and now parting it out) and I've just been trying to get rid everything as soon as I can so I can move on.

Again, I would prefer to sell the car as a whole.

2 - radio to shifter dash plastic panel with shifter boot and all mounting hardware/screws (as mine are missing/broke)
3 - Door power window/door lock/recessed hand holder panel thingie (both sides if possible)

Totally sorry for being MIA, ladies and gents. I just finished finals today. I didn't want to post up dates that I couldn't be committed to. Anyway, first thing I'll be doing is taking pictures tomorrow for you guys. Again, I'm really sorry, but I had to handle school first. Following the pictures, I'll be there a few days to help take whatever parts you want off the car. Not sure exactly how long I'll be holding onto that, but it's going to end up getting junked. I would prefer someone just take the whole thing, though. If you need my number, just send a PM and I'll give it to you.

Oh, and I've received quite a few questions about the engine and no, it won't be taken apart. It will be sold as a whole unit, basically like a front clip. I just don't want to deal with taking the thing apart as I don't have storage space.

The only things not showing in the pictures is that the driver door handle was cut out (so body shop could get in there) and front left tire is flat.

As I mentioned before, there's a guy that wants the whole thing so I have to give him priority. But I'll contact you guys based on who asked for what first. Again, my apologies for taking a while, but finals came first.

1. Won't be shipping, sorry to the folks out of socal. Too many hassles with used parts if there are problems.
2. Circleface, make an offer on the seat, but as you can see, it's not in the best shape.
3. Wish One, mileage of engine is 273,xxx. High mileage motor but has been maintained very well. I have the documentation. See first page for some details. I haven't had a compression test done, but no leaky motor would pull like this had.
4. Also had some bushings replaced with Energy Suspension stuff. Don't remember which ones. I think sway bar and tension rods.
5. Drift Motion, I will be selling the rims and tires, but I'm on the fence as I need to put something on when I have the suspension and rotors/pads taken off.
6. Lots of people wanting the Power Brace and the instrument cluster/dash, so I'll take the best offer above $120 and $100 respectively.
