Yo Guys,

I need help.
My speed indicator doesn't work.
Everything works find of the gauge cluster acept the speed.
I had try to change a new gauge cluster no result and even after install a Apexi RSM speedmeter didn't get any speed info.

Can anyone tell me what r going wrong here, it's talking about a 180sx with CA18det engine.

Thank you,
Ethan

Do you have a service manual? Check to see if the speed sensor in the trans is functioning correctly.

So you are saying, everything works fine, but you have no speed signal?
The speed sensor in the transmission PROVIDES the speed signal, have you CHECKED the speed sensor according to the FSM?

1.Go under your car and look at the trans, it is not hard to find the speed sensor.
2. It's held on with 1 bolt, and its close to the slave cylinder.
3. To test it, measure the output with a voltmeter, personally I would just replace the damn thing.

Sorry, edited my post because the above info was great!
The post above this show you what the speed sensor looks like, correct? Follow the wires coming from the sensor to see if anything is disconnect or shorted, get a continuity tester. Test the wire, from sensor to connection by firewall to ecu. If the speed sensor checks out OK!
