so what happened was i found this 1989 240sx se fastback at a junkyard (rust free) and i was going to buy it, but my buddy being the dick that he is bought it before i was able too, then he asked me to help him work on it, so being the nice guy that i am i did, but i did all the work on it, since he doesn't know anything about cars, anyways, after i finished working on it, he ended up going behind my back and selling it to his friend dylon. Then about 4 months ago, i heard that dylon was selling the 240sx, so needless to say i bought it, and now im in the process of doing a sr20det engine swap. So far the car is coming along pretty good, i've had this engine for about three years now,so right now im going through the car and fixing everything that was done half assed from the previous owner, i'll post pictures of the progress, feel free to leave any comments or suggestions

i pay $500.00 for the shell but i got tons of extra shit with like doors,rims, 2 back and 2 front bumbers,power mirrors and lot more and by the way iam selling the power mirrors i have the stock suspension on it right but i would like to get some thing better and i would like to go with the 300zx brake upgrade but i think it is things more interesting trying to stop going 120+ MPH with the stock brakes lol iam getting more stuff from jkjunior and i getting a tuned ECU from a friend for cheap remap fuel for the 370cc,speed cut,z32 maf,RPM up to 7500,3in exhaust and i think that is it i will put up more pic that i got yesterday asap

will i have finally something to post about i got my intercooler piping from courtesyparts.com and i am going to order my exhaust off ebay,its like 200.00 and some change,has anybody heard anything good or bad about the exhaust on ebay? the exhaust is SUS 304 3" stainless steel comes with down pipe and cat-back and a 3 YEAR WARRANTY here are the pic of the intercooler piping

just a little update for you guys i got the interior to together (somewhat, know mind you this is the first time that i have seen the interior together in like 5 years!!!!:2f2f: ), I'm making gauge holder where the center vents go, you can see it in the pictures, i plan on finishing it on Thursday when i get the hole saw, had to order it from sears, I'll put pictures up when I'm finished with that, the next thing i plan on doing is buying a radiator and putting in the fuel cell, the reason i haven't done it yet is because the girlfriend wanted a wii, so it sent me back a little bit, lol, here are the pics

got my radiator in today and got my radiator hoses from heavy throttle on monday put it all on today and ran the clutch line and all the brake lines accept the passenger front, bled the clutch line put in the radiator in and called it a day here are some pics

i got more stuff done the guy for ebay i got my oil drain and oil feed lines off of said that this kit was for a sr20det motor with a top mount 50 trim but for some reason i still had to mod the kit to work on my car and i have to take a trip to summit to get some stuff to make it work i will keep you guy posted on it but here is what i got done on the car till i get paid so i can go down to summit

i just ordered the down pipe today it should be here in a week or so, i got all the pieces i needed for the oil feed kit, i had to go to summit to get a couple fittings to make it work on the motor

ok i got my down pipe today it looks good the welds look great i cant wait to put it on the car to see how it fits a couple of thing that sucks about it is the bolts that they send you are to short to use on the exhaust but i will find something to use them on the 2nd thing is one of the gaskets i got with it is rusted here are the pics i will get new pics of the down pipe on the car

ok i found out the 3rd problem it does not fit right,the bottom of the down pipe from the turbo hits the frame and i only can get one bolt in the turbo i tried to cut off some of the flange and the bottom but it still hits the frame i have to figure something out i just might have to make my own down pipe think i should have done that from the beginning, i dont know i am just fu!#ing pissed off to no end, any how here are the pics

messing with all that oil lines and cooling lines being wrong, and the downpipe issue isnt fun. Thats why i wound do a bottom mounted turbo if i were ever to do a sr again. I played around where you are for awhile, and its frustrating!

i cut one of the welds on the down pip,e bolted the top part of the down pipe to the turbo and lined up the 2nd piece under the car and tacked it together i gave the down pipe to the wifes friend at her work her friends husband is a welder and has acess to a tig welder he tiged it for $20.00 i will try to get it on the car tomorrow if i feel better,i am sick as a dog right now, also ordered my oil catch can and rocker arm stoppers from enjuku racing (great guys to deal with!) i will be getting my catch can soon,but my rocker arm stoppers are on back order for 2 weeks i will keep you guys posted with pics if everything go's right i will have it running in about 2 or 3 weeks i can't wait. as soon as i get it running i will get a video of it so you guys can hear it by the way what kind of oil's do you guys use in the motor,trans,rear end ? i am going to use moble 1 EP 10w30 in the motor but i am lost as far as thans and rear end fluid
