i bought my car without AC, im planning to install one.i figured i want a digitalclimate control like the ones on a LE since im goign to install the freakin AC anyway, summers are too much. i want to bid on a JDM digital climate control for a s13 , would that fit and work properly on my S14?

lol, yeah i guess the first owner wanted it "light weight", and i liked it b/c its better than buying a car double the millage and a model older with the same price tag

Probably not. The JDM digital climate controls don't even fit the USDM cars of teh same years let alone different ones. The wiring is totally different. If you have an SR motor and harness then it could work but unless you have that or want to go through a shiiiet load of wiring it probably won't work.

I could swear that S14's in Japan had digital climate control as an option. Why not look for a S14 digital climate control setup?

it can work, but you're gonna have to rewire a lot of things. couple of guys on my socal list tried, and they felt it was ridiculously complicated, it wasn't worth it. if you do, you should have some electrical knowledge and you'll need to redo the harnesses.
good luck

Yes, S14 has digital climate control as an option. Try to wait until someone put a complete swap over that includes the following (quoted based on S13 Digital parts needed)
1) Digital climate control unit
2) Main dash wiring harness
3) 2 climate sensors, one on top dash, and one in center shifter console
4) Heate core roller
5) Fan blower heat sink unit
Good luck.

Has anyone gotten a digital AC control with their front clips? How common is the digital AC in the Silvia?
Digital climate control was a factory option on the S13's, you'll need the different wiring loom like the other fella said and to be honest most of us could find other uses for the $300-400 bucks its going to end up costing to patch it all in there.
It does look nice, a friend of mine has it in his Q's but my K's dosent have it as standard or anything. Bit of a wank really, at least with the old-school analogue Ive got half a chance of fixing it if it breaks and theyre cheap. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
Do you guys get the HUD in the S13's over there in your 240's?

That HUD rocked. I plan on buying another one, actually. I forget where I saw it, but there was an aftermartket one for about $200 on the web someplace.
Oh. The question. Yeah, we got those. =)
