I just bought a nardi steering wheel and horn button. But it didn't come with the trim ring to cover the bolts.
What i want to know is there a way to mount the horn button without that ring? Mine fits through the hole in the wheel, but dosen't hold in place. Is there a clip or something to go along with this?
I'm looking for a setup like this:http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y35/JDMSiL80/s13/IMGP0325.jpg
Was it glued in...cuz thats the only solution i could come up with.
Any help is appreciated...
Thank you
Hmm, not sure. Talk to Logan "ASpec Products" since he sells them, he should know for sure. He may have an extra part lying around.

For mine
The horn button has these metal "prongs" that will hold itself on when you put it in.
If you try to put the horn button on JUST THE STEERING WHEEL it wont work.
it has to be MOUNTED TO THE HUB ALREADY.
Maybe that made sense, maybe it didn't.
It made sense to me because I know firsthand.

heads up to you: when you stick the nardi horn into the QR, you're gonna have to play with it a bit because it tends to get jammed on the on position due to the limited space inside the barrel of the QR what with the wires and that stupid ridge on the inside. just keep pressing it til the actual horn part loosens up and u'll be cherry.

Are they sippappard to come with a trim ring? I just got my personal wheel and was wondering the same thing. My nardi torino did come with it. I wonder if it wasn't packaged or if it doesn't come with it. Or if we are suppossed to use one with these.

I'm having the same problem with the AWORKS Quick Release and HRG Short Hub. I even took this little ring out of the QR to try and get some more space for it to fit, and it won't fit in. I'll take some pics and post them up later to show what im talking about.

................sippappard............
Are you trying to make a word? Haha. For the nardi horn, you're not supposed to use the trim ring. The trim ring is an extra piece that comes with the hub to fit other horns, possibly personal or momo. Not sure, I never had any wheel other than Nardi. MTX450, I don't know what you've tried so far to get the horn on, but sit the horn in the wheel, with the three prongs sitting right on top of the hub. The trick is to try to get at least two prongs in already, which is easy, just uses a little sense. Then for the last one, use a small screwdriver, or some hard plastic that won't scratch anything, and just push in the last prong. Well, I'm sure Logan will come in to correct me on something. He'll be more help anyway.

i have the exact same setup as you, and had the same problem. i'm convinced theres no way to make it fit right, what i did was put some double sided tape around the bottom of the horn button, and jammed it in as far as i could. it doesnt sit flush, but it looks alright.

yeah, there is also only one male connection for the wire too....where does the other one go? I thought both wires are used and when the horn is pressed, it acts like a switch and connects both wires to make the horn do its thing.

Okay, this little ring (pointed too by the arrows) is what is causing the horn button not to fit. I think the horn button may just not be compatible with this QR that I'm (were) using
