Okay, a member on another 240 forum asked a question that intrigued me. He asked if it were possible to put an s15 tranny onto a KA. I figure that anything is possible, as impractical and useless it may be... but what all would go into changing it? I gave him the general "tranny, driveshaft, etc" stuff, but IIRC isnt the speed sensor on the differential? I think it would be cool to have a 6 speed KA personally.

You can by cutting the bellhousing flange off and swapping it. The 6speed unit is not a three piece case like the 5speed so you can't just swap bellhousings. But then you'll still need to come up with a VSS source.

Also remember that most people swap in a 5-speed when swapping in an S15 engine. The 6-speed gives you an extra gear, but it's not as strong as the 5-speed.

If you really wanted 6 gears with OEM internals, try the Mazwork Z32 kit for SR.
Or you can try Quaife.
