Hey everyone, I have 5zigen 5zrs 17x7.5s +40 offset on my s14. Most the rim places I've asked, have told me that 235/45/17s will fit my car without rubbing, but tires.com said they would rub. I have 215/40s on my car right now and I wanted something wider this time around. Do you guys have any personal experience with 235/45 rubber? any problems?
Also what are my options? Will wheel spacers save me?

Id just take a measuring tape out and measure how close you get. I have 215/45Z/17 right now and it seems there is a lot of space left but I dont have any kind of aftermarket springs to lower it yet.
I think they'd fit right now, but if you ever lower it that may then be a different story.

im sure they would fit, there are many 240sx's with 235 series or more. i think grant's are 255's in rear. i have 215/45/17 and my car is lowered 2 inches in rear and 1.8 in front and they aren't even close to scrubbing.

Thanks for the info guys. I should be getting the tires on by next week when they are delivered.
Hey gsu240 what spring/shock (or possibly coilovers?) are you running?

I have 255 45 17X9.5J on the back of my S14 and I don't rub at all that is close to 10" in the back. I think you will be ok. If not you can pull your fenders out it won't look bad.
