It is underneath the car body, you need to take off the fender liner. It has to be accessed from the bottom, not the top.

Yea, I have pulled mine out on all my 240's, it's just there to keep crap out of the wheel wells and stuff. Yea, you should be able to see it underneath. I just noticed that you have an S14, I assume they are similar to S13's....

There's actually two resonator boxes, the bigger one under where the intake box would be, and there's a smaller one on the passenger side at the bend where the intake piping bends into the intake manifold.

Dude, behind the fenderliner, underneath the body. The pipe from the air box goes through the body metal to the resonator underneath. It's really not that big of a deal, you can just leave it....

So you're still going to run the factory air intake, just with that box removed? Get a CAI or something and ditch the whole thing, that'll help it sound better =P

Did you get it, cut your steering wheel all the way to the left, pull aside the liner, and you should be able to get to it it with a lil work
Some people say you gotta take the wheel off, but I managed to get the box without having too.
Does sound better and pulls a lil stronger, no miracle, but like you said it's free. I have s14 too btw.

also if you really want to, cap off the other resonator near the bend before the TB, i forget the size cap you need, anyone know off hand?

you now have two intakes into the stock air box instead of the little ass over the core support intake.

S13s do not have the secondary resonator.
And why in hell is this thread still going?
