nick cage is the worst actor of all time, i refuse to go and see this movie and watch him destroy one of my favorite comics. i was kind of excited last year when i heard it was coming out. then they said nick cage was ghost rider...... and then i slit my wrists.:bash:

People expecting depth when going to see a comic book based movie and then bitching about it when their delusions of grandeur are torn down by the violent shakes of reality....thats hilarious!

I second that. It was ok could have been better if they cut the cheese out. It should have been dark..they did the same mistake w/ Punisher. I wanted it to be like Batman Begins..no cheese, respect the character..even though it's a comic.

Nick Cage is a good actor, in most stuff and has turned in some great performances.
Nick Cage and Sean Penn were good friends and they had a falling out and Sean Penn basically said Nick Cage sold out. I.E. doing shit films for money and not keeping up his artistic integrity.
Decision is up to you, is any one really surprised, or expect movies based on American comic books, to be anything other than chessy fun?

P.S. I have not seen his ghostrider performance but every actor has their off days. I would not judge a actor on a sole performance.

As a ghostrider comic collector myself, i understand what you mean, however there's no way they could've made him look like that and not have it come out looking totally gay and/or chessy. They definitely should've picked a more bad ass looking dude though. That guy looks like he's about to scream his heart out about his high school girlfriend leaving him and how his heart is now black....

I actually liked the Movie and was expecting some really really bad acting and CG... To be completly honest I liked it alot... it was better then the Spawn Movie which is what I was expecting.

You can't expect the depth of what you have read in the comics to be fully realized in a short movie... they did very well with the story line, ghostriders mentality and costume changes... all in all... I think they did very well.

Now all you GhostRider comic freaks go pick up the new GhostRider "Trail of Tears" #1.
