Hey, to make a long story short:
1) I welded a hks ssqv bov flange on my hotpipe, for some odd reason the flange was warped, and with the bov on it would leak.
2) The turbo made a sharp whistle noise, i removed the flange, welded a steel sheet over the hole to cover it up temporarily.
3) the turbo still makes a whistling noise ( it didnt beforehand) and the boost spikes to 10.0 ~ 10.8 lbs (STOCK SR20DET REDTOP)
4) I disconnected my greddy profec, and it still spikes to 10lbs. (The car used to be a consistent 7lbs)
The temperature here is and has been about 15-25 degrees Fahrenheit. Other than the boost spike and whistle the car runs fine.
Could the weather be to blame for
a) dramatic 3.8lb increase in boost
b) sharp whistling noise
or could something be wrong with my actuator? (my turbo is fine, atleast the blades/seals are)
-Sorry to make such a big deal about this, just wanted to be thorough.
