k i searches all ready but just cant get the inso im seeking .. so anwyays

i currently have an sr20det s13 ... Fmic, fuel pump, 55occ injectors, sard fpr, pulleys and an aem ems that im gonna put in and a HKS gt2530r...

i dont wanna do cams just yet or pistons ... maybe in a couple of months ill be getting some cams but for the next month or 2 ima have a stock block.. just every lil bolt on

my gols on it are around id say no more than 450whp .. as of now i just wanna try and get 350whp and a stock block if its possible.....

k i was looking at these 2 turbos either a gt3071 .64 or gt3076r .64

i know the bigger i go the more lag im gonna have but as long as i see full boost at maybe 3,800 - 4,000 rpm's ........

also i was looking at either top mount or bottom mount ... still cant figure out witch will be better . ... also who makes a dump pipe for the top mount ... do i NEED to go with an external wga? .... im on a budget since i just ordered the aem so yeah not trying to spend to much on the exh mani or the dump pipe ... maybe once i get mpre money will be willing to buy a better exh mani and so on ...

any help would be appreciated :bigok:

I would recommend against either as the GT30xx turbos on the T2 flange are less than stellar in terms of boost response and overall performance.

I would recommend the GT2871R over your choices easily.

Top mount (t3 flange) is really the only way for the GT30s to breathe. Heavy Throttle makes a downpipe for the top mount GT30s, but most of the people I know that have top mounts have pieced their stuff together, so they have a custom downpipe made (just make sure you have flex section). You'll have a very hard time hitting 400 without cams, just not a good idea... should be able to see 350 without cams on the stock block but it won't be fun/easy (lots of boost, probably 20psi). Anyway if 450 is your target, you might be able to get away with the GT2871 .86, and that'd be more responsive than either of the GT30s, as well as letting you run bottom mount. Just food for thought.

Also, 550s wont like anything above 400 hp, so start lookin into some bigger sprayers as well, once you build the block.

Another thing, engine tuning isn't cheap, so budget in a good $500 for tuning that beast at a reputable shop.

im gathering all the parts for the setup as well, cams are basically a must for that big of a turbo. from what ive read, the bigger of the gt30s wont make the power to compensate for the lag it has over the smaller. and external is much better, helps in alot of aspects. as for the top/bottom mount, if you can find a bottom mount mani with an external wg flange, you would save alot of money considering the top mounts are $$$ BUT i heard that you have to shave something, not sure exactly, but it seems like it MIGHT get in the way of ps. the 500cc injectors wont be enough either. need like 700s from what ive researched. top mount manifold and dump pipe are made by full race and Peakboost. they are both awesome
