Heater core is shot..when they get older, they sometimes can crack at the seam where the inlet/outlet is...you can have them fixed or get yourself a new one, (I'd suggest a new one though) just don't drive the car until then! (obviously)

very very easy,
1. drain it
2. unbolt, un clamp, pull back all tubes, pipes exc
3. replace with new or used
4. put everything back on
tips:
1.mark with tube, pipe blach goes with which hole
2. it's really a no brainer but takes TIME

Or you could just bypass the heater core, and it would be cheaper and easier...

mmm, a bypass is really just a temporary fix. It's not often that I need it in the 240, but I like to have heat if I do.

That highlighted part was the reason I gave the temporary fix. Also, in my corvette, a heater core was $250 and it was located under the glovebox, and was another $200 in labor to get to. I have no idea on the prices for a 240sx, but if it is something that Ksilvia had to save up for, he sould be able to drive the car, and you can pay a mechanic like $20 to bypass the heater core while you save.

oh man, thats funny...i was reading and was like "wtf? if its inside, why would it be on the floor"...then i realized that white people actually use floor the RIGHT way...i'm used to hearing floor for the inside of my house, the lawn, the garage...pretty much anything u step on...
