HI ZILVIA!

i have an brake question concerning the EVO BREMBO CALIPERS. before i ask the question let me inform you of my situation.

My situation is that i have a pair of evo calipers which will eventually go on my s14. i picked up a set for DIRT cheap BECAUSE the driver side caliper has grinding from the back right where the mounting holes are. this is a problem b/c the brackets attach from the back of the caliper to the chasis, which will cause spacing issues, thus causing rotor rub. the thing is i have a spare caliper but its another passenger side caliper.

my question is can i use a passenger side caliper rear half, and attach it to the driver side caliper front half?? the main problem is the bleeder screw postion. on the caliper one side has the bleeder screw and the other side has a metel line thats connects to the back. now if i do swap the rear half i would have to swap the bleeder screw to the other side where the hardline is. can this be done??

also can i just use 2 passendger calipers on each side?? or will there be problems??

HELP ME!!:aw:
appreciate any help u guys can give.:bigok:

That sounds feasible, though I've never messed with one. Try it on the bad one first.

it's probably easier and more effective to swap the crossover tube and the bleed screws. if brembo is smart then the threading is the same and the only difference in the sides is how they are assembled. the crossover tubes look like they are side specific but you could put the one from the bad driver's side on the passenger side caliper.

it would be a bitch to do, but you could bleed the passenger side caliper on the driver's side if necessary. just disconnect it and hold it on the other side of the rotor so the bleeder is facing up. certainly more difficult, but still not that bad for something you do only once in a while.

duh!:duh:

relized that in the calipers one piston is large then the other so i can't even swap it!
