Importing things and keeping costs true to japanese costs isnt that easy. Although I do love their hoods, after it gets here it'll be expensive and not as rare and then people will want something else...
If you really want it, its not that hard to get, its just shipping cost, find a friend in Japan have them deal with it and compensate.

Yes sir.
Everyone loves it until they see da price tag!
BN Sports makes a bad ass hood, but the price tag is gnarly on that too.
My sources tell me that they can't get DMax for a discount in Japan so there's no way it would be cost effective versus just buying through a friend in Japan.

Depends which hood you want. And if you want it in CF or not, if you order it it you will get it, just depends when you order it. You don't want to order one hood and have it sent on its own, so if you order and wait for a container you won't pay for shipping other than from Origin USA to you.
I have a hood, I just never put it on.
