my car has a very hard time starting upon a cold start but after that it gets up and goes just fine. i have to turn the car over about 4 or 5 times. anther thing it the motor ticks alot and from what i have seen that is very comon on the sr20 motor. will that ticking go away if i get the rock arm stoppers any help will be apprciated

the ticking is probably your injectors. mine dot it, a lot of people's SR's do it. as for the hard cold start, its possibly a bad coolant temp sensor. does the motor crank regularly or slow?

I think if you break open the hand warmers from Big 5 for camping, and pour the powder stuff into your gas tank, it will keep the engine warm overnight so you don't have to crank it for long in the morning.

my car did that 2 winters ago. it ended up being a dying starter. replaced it and it fired right up like usual.

how do u make sure the starter is fine ? anyway to check it?
