k ever since i installed it its been at 17lbs of boost .. my question is does that actuator come adjustable as in is it possible to drop it so i can control the boost threw a boost controler?

iv also heard that a car makes more power when its controlled by a boost controller is that true or false? car does not spike at the moment hits 17psi and holds it to red line all the way from 3,500 - 6,800 <-- cause i never take it higher than that ...........

any info would be appreciated thank u :bigok:

It is adjustable...just spin the nut and change the rod's length in the opposite manner way that it currently sits.

With an EBC it will come on much smoother and cleaner as well.

And take that baby to 7850...it won't fly apart, I swear!

a lil confused on what way to spin it ... and wow 7850 ... ill be a lil scared .. haha its completely stock internals from head gasket so pistons and cams stock ... i was reading up about how u mad 400whp on ur 2871r what that with or w/o cams?

cause till this day i have yet to figure out why mine only made 255whp .. then again its just been sitting in my garage but gets me very mad ....

What are you trying to do? Run less boost or more boost on a MBC/EBC?

To turn the boost down you can try adjusting the WGA rod like mentioned before, or see if you can pick up a new/different actuator with a lighter spring installed.

im trying to lower the boost from the wga ... maybe it will gain some power by using an ebc ...

also another question i took of my fmic and put on a stock exh. ... so yeah stock exh. and smic .. and my car was tuned with a fmic and 3 inch exh. .... will it effect my driving big time since its tuned for an exh and fmic...? im currently not trying to race the car or anything at all just drive it from point A to point B .. the car feels super slow and i gont give it full throtel cause then it will hit 17psi and im not willing to take that risk with a smic .. so yeah

Hey buddy -

The electronic boost controller will keep the wastegate totally closed until it's time for it to open, so your boost comes on sooner and smoother. As far as adjusting the wastegate's pressure, that's done on the rod that goes from the wastegate to the acutator.

Throw an intake manifold and some cams on that beast man, and take it back to get tuned again. Should pick up enough power to get ya down the road with a smile on your face.

k thanx for the info .... and hmmm if im not trying to spend to much money ta the moment what do u think of just some bolt on cams .. as in like some step one's that dont need replacing ove valve springs and so on ... or do u guys think just do it right and do vale springs port and polish ras,hg,ar studs, step 2 cams and gears? lmk thanx

omg

OK DUDE HERE

to lower your boost with an adjustable wg actuator you do this...

1.loosen the 10 mm (typically nut) that keeps the arm in place
2.Make sure it taken off the wg door peg on the exuast side of turbo.
3. If its cold turn it with yuor hand when its lose so the wg ARM gets Longer.
4. The longer the internal WG arm the less boost hence tension on diaphram.
5. The shorter the arm the more it will hold the gate closed.
6. This keeps more exaust int he turbine housing meaning more boost.

If you have RAS you should be safe for 7600 rpms or so.

I rev to 7850-7900 with HLA's when I drag race (with classical opera blasting in car) but im also a sick sick man :loco:

Wait up... If I read your posts right, you removed your 3" exhaust and your FMIC and you're running 17psi (?!?!)... And now, you complain the car is sluggish and you want more power... So you wanna install cams?! Why not re-install your FMIC and 3" exhaust for starters?

okay let me correct my self and help u understand a lil bit better ...

yes im running 17psi ...
yes im on a smic now
and yes i have a stock exh

thing is i just took all those off like on the 15th ... so it was before i asked the first question ....

so for now i just wanna drop the boost to id say 10lbs/psi cause obiously i cant give it full throtle when im at 17lbs ill probably blow something ...

and then when i put my fmic back on and a 3 inch exh. with maybe some cams then i will get it tuned once again ... and raise the boost the right way with my ebc ...

hope i explained my self a lil better this time and once again thanx for the info ..
