am I the only one who things these are really stiff for street driving or am I just soft? I have them on the lowest setting for dampening force with about -.5 degree camber in front and -1 rear. Does anyone have conflicting opinions and/or advice on softening the ride such as different brand springs?

I have not driven with other coilovers on my S13, but my KTS are alot nicer than the KG/MM spring and strut combo I used to have. I can also say they ride nicer than some other makes and models of cars I've gone for a ride in with various "Top of the Line" manufacturer's coilovers.

If you have preload then you should take it off. It will make the car ride smoother.

Sounds like you got a shitload of preload. :keke:

Make your springs sag a bit, and it'll save your sissy kidneys.

My KTS are comfortable as hell, I wouldn't have it any other way. Although I do kinda wanna get new coils.

When I had mine preloaded too much the ride was very stiff. I ended up taking a mojority of the preload off and now they ride as smooth as can be. Not really, but nice enough to drive every day. It just takes a lot of messing with them to get them set up to your tastes.

Thatguy, which KG/MM springs with which struts? I've got S21 SuperSports with AGXs, and I think they ride just fine.

This isn't a hijack - I've considered KTS for a while now, and if they ride "better" than what I have currently that might just tip things in their favor.

Don't let the springs have too much free play though. They are super smooth compare to tein HE and other coilovers out there.

Almost maxed out on drop. 1 front collar removed, and 1/4" of freeplay in the rear springs when not under load. Stiffness set at halfway.

I ran KTS' on my S14. It was my DD and my dori whore. I never was uncomfortable at all, even on 4 and 5 hour road trips.

fr, what was your setup? my s13 is my daily too but 4-5 hours straight would suck in my current setup. I plan on taking everything apart this weekend so your input would help
