arg .. why do i always have starting problems? ... why?

1st my corolla , now my 240...

anyways.. heres my prob lets see if anyone has had the same.

my car is running fine for a few weeks ( RARE !!<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> and just last night.. i am starting to run reallly low on gas.. and then my check engine light goes on.. (great) so i stop by the nearest gas station to get some gas hoping that that was the problem... and when i try to start the car agian .. nothing.. no crank no click no nothing.... so im stuck.. &nbsp;i have to push start the car and it starts.. so im guessing its the battery.. so i goto kragen and have them check out my battery , and they said tis fine and so it my alternator. .. but just right now when i tried to start it.. the engine had a very hard time turning over , like there wasn't enough juice.

so what can it be? i just had the plugs and wires replaced OEM about 5-7K ago....

just changed my oil (does it matter?) about a week ago..

One thing that a lot of people miss is the battery cables and their connection to the batter. It wont hurt to disconect them from the battery and give both the posts and the cables a good cleaning. You can get a tool for 5 bucks at Walmart. Also make sure that they are tightly connected to the battery, try to turn the cables on the battery post. If you can, their to lose. If that doesn't solve the problem: Have them check the alternator as well. Most decent parts stores can check it with a machine while it is in the car and the car is running.

It also could be a crappy connection on &nbsp;your starter. &nbsp;I had the same problem with my 92 Toyota truck. &nbsp; But i use to take it chico hopping and that is what bumped it loose. &nbsp; But check it anyway. &nbsp; Also take you car back to kregen (sp?) and have them check everything. &nbsp;Battery, Alternator, and the starter. &nbsp;I know they do at checker which is the same as Kregen and also NAPA does it too. &nbsp;By the way it is no charge for it to get done.

I burnt out the solonoid in my starter the day after I bought my car, but if you didnt hear a clicking (which is the case in most starters) I would check the alternator. BTW when my starter died, there was no clicking, so its best to get both checked out so you're not spending money on unecessary parts.

Have some one push your car, once you get going, turn the key, and pop the clutch, and make sure yo start the car in 2nd gear when push starting the car, that should do the job.

I remember you being in socal, right.
If so,I have a spare starter. Also, the starter is mounted on the pass side of the engine block, near the oil filter. &nbsp;I would be willing to do the starter job ... but you have to pay for my time doing it .. hehehe ...
