Help with REVERSE LIGHTS!!

I know this subject has been covered.... i have search over and over again... so he is the thing
I have a 1989 240sx auto to manual.... i did the swap like 3years ago and its been bugging me really bad lately that my reverse lights dont work so yea...

the bulbs are good, i put power to them they turned on...
the fuse is also good... test light
I checked the sensor and it shows continuity in reverse.... i only have like .02v in the back in the plug.....

whats wrong.... PLEASE HELP!!!!!

did you wire the reverse switch on the tranny to the plug by the fuse box? You have to run those wires yourself.

someone didnt wire up your reverse light wire from the sensor to the lower tranny harness.

just take apart the harness and redo it yourself.

just to let you know its not going to be the same exact plug, that rite up is from a s14. i to had to do this, ill tall you exactly what two wires it is tomarrow when i go out side.

The reverse plug and wiring is the same for all 89-98 models because the auto transmission harness is the same.
You're thinking about the VSS.

Brown plug, green and black wires. Connect them to the switch. Done.

Well obviously not hard enough.
If you had, you would have discovered it in the Auto to 5 speed faq, on the first page of the Archive and faq section. The wires needed and what to do to wire your reverse lights are covered there. In fact its ludicrous that some members of this forum still point people to other places besides this forum for that info. Of course other people here seem to suck at searching as well.
It also means they really don't care about this forum. lol

as i stated earlier, the wires were different on my car, so ill post them when i get home , since no-one has a deff answer for you..

I just answered it above. It's the same for ALL 89-98 models.
