Gonna get my 240 painted. .

I've set up an appointment to get my car painted next week, and i just want to make sure I get it right. (I'm paying 1.8k for the job). I've bought the bumper I wanted (Version Select S13 II bumper) and all the other small parts.

The hard thing is knowing what Color to paint the car. I'm sure I want white, but there are so many shades. My personal favorite type of white is Championship White. There is something about that color that just appeals to me, and i'm leaning more towards that as my color, but i'm not 100% sure yet. Any input from you guys would be cool, so I can come to a decision soon. . thanks

You should paint the car Lime green with Pink tiger stripes.

If that doesn't appeal to you, than just do what you want. Don't ask a group of strangers what to do with YOUR car.

my .02 cents.. if you car is factory white.. either ivory white or regular white (not sure on exact name) paint it that color.. i would do this as you retain the car as close as factory as possible.. it can always help you with resale later.. rather then painting it another color that will never match fully.. unless you're spending some major $$ for a complete paint job.. strip it to last bolt and re-spay in-out.. plus this way you can simply shoot it outside and perhaps even save some money..

just remember.. a freshly painted car correctly even factory color will look amazing in contacts to your 17 year old paint.. so you will still be satisfied.. this of course is just mine opinion, its your car and you should paint it whatever color you like!

yeah man it sounds like you got your heart set on championship white, so just go for it.
IF it were me I would probally go with white and some type of flake just because championship white is so... 5 years ago and kind of bland to me.
But again do what you want since you are the one who is going to be driving/looking at the car every day

championship white belongs on a type r imo. I used to be a honda fan but always thought that color was like a white that had a light shade of pee dried on it. I like white pearl.

Theres a really nice shade of white that used to be on my old acura legend. Its called olympia white (or olympic white, I dont recall exactly) and it wasnt a retina-burning chalk white color, but has a more subtle look to it. Its nice.

It more or less depends on how much you have to spend and how much you like your car. I know I already have way more than the value of my car invested into it and I do intend to daily drive it. 3 grand sounds like it is going to be a complete job so I'd hope there wouldn't be anything to be disappointed about.

Im over all satisfied with the job they did to my car, the price was well worth it. I had a friend take some pro pics earlier today, but they won't be rdy for a little while. Anyways I took some w/ my digital cam . .

hey the orange pearl on the new eclipses is sweet, I painted my 88 celica in it last year, it looks great, especially at night under lights, it glows! mine is a little darker cuz I used a black base, anyway its a nice color, I might paint my 240 the same color when the weather gets a little warmer!

i've got extra paint saved up and the shop will do the painting for the side skirts, valance and the kouki lights very cheaply, so I went ahead and did it anyways. I've got things planed out. . . .

thanks for the tip! it does look good, and the price is reasonable. I'm just curious as to how well it'll hold up in the future (if you spend that much, you can't blame me for skeptism). I'll be sure to do some research on these guys, as i'll need to repaint my crappy looking car in the near future.

if i were you, i'd just get a more oem looking front bumper and paint that instead. it'll be more sleeper looking, and def cheaper/easier than getting more bodykit parts and wheels. :P

looks nice. I say you get a nice set of coilovers before any exterior parts and rims. Car will look much more cleaner once it's dropped.

there is bad ass paint that i saw in a mag once.. it was a nissan xterra color.. i think it was a green, or possibly a red.. and obviously called xterra green, or xterra red.. i just remember it was a sick ass color, and also.. i dont really remember the name of it.. but a friend of mine had on his hatch a with a perfect blend of orange and red.. it wasnt quite red or orange it was a perfect blend.. and i think its an m3 color, and i think your color all depends on what u want to do with it, if u want a sleeper look go with a dark color and if u want like a show car go with a crazy color.. its all prefrence.. latah
