hey wassup zilvia.net ..... finally got a chance to join the forums after purchasing a 1995 s14 .
my question is ..... every gear that i drive in , everytime the rpm climbs to 4.5k , it sounds and feels like its at its peak .
like it reaches 4.5k and cant accelerate no more .
is that the normal shift point for 240s ?
or is there something faulty ?
hope i can get it fixed .
also , what spark plug wires should i use ? thanks

Vaccuum leak. Purchase spark plug wires that are compatible for your car.

are you sure you dont have a ka24e in there?
On topic, it could be alot of things. Definetly check for a vacuum leak, check your maf voltage, coil continuity, spark plug wire continuity, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump?, air cleaner... it might just need a tune up. People don't usually do regular tune-ups, so it might be long overdue

I'm having the same problem and I think it's something to do with my knock sensor...prob not your problem but give it a look, ya never know.
(I'm not sure this is the cause of my problem..but it's something I'm gonna try)

the idle is fine .
i just recently replaced the fuel filter with a genuine NISSAN fuel filter .
i tried pulling the 5th gear position sensor , it still rev limits at 4.5k
i tried pulling 4th & 5th gear position sensor , it still rev limits at 4.5k
i tried disconnecting the battery and holding the brake pedal down for a minute and pump it ..... still rev limits at 4.5k
how do i test MAF sensor & Knock sensor ???
any other ideas guys ? :bash

Does it bounce of a Limiter that is not there? Did you look at the Distruibuter? Or the Battery? could be a voltage problem. Same thing almost happened to me in my car..

Check the ECU for any codes..that *may* point you in the right direction...maybe?..lol
also if the knock sensor is working right it maybe be fuckin' up your timing (most likely whats going on with my car)..Atleast thats what I've been told
