15. Remove four oil pan-to-transmission bolts.
16. Remove two engine-to-transmission bolts and install them into
open bolt holes shown. Tighten the two bolts to release aluminum
oil pan from cylinder block.

i got this out of the 2000 silvia FSM. I have a redtop and the two bolts that they say to use to get the upper pan off are too small to thread into the holes shown. Do you guys know if it is different from an s13 to an s15. or do you know of any other bolts i might use to get that sucker off. The engine is in the car so im having a hard time getting that upper pan off.

Wow don't get all butt hurt cuz nobody answered your question... You do realize there are different size bolts on the trans...

Why not try a different one.....:loco:

Or how about this, go out and buy a bolt....

And its tech, not teck.

you're really winning the forum over dude... trashing on senior members is DEFINITELY going to get kidynomite's buddies to help you with your problem. If you don't know size or thread pitch (M8 1.25 I'm guessing, maybe they're the smaller M6s?) of the bolts you're talking about, why not try and go to a hardware store and find the correct bolt - they're cheap, and hopefully you can come back with an "informative post" and contribute to the forum.

It's going to be a bitch to get that pan around the sub-frame and sway bar.

you ask for help, you don't get it, you cry, i answer your crying, then you cry again... Are you still too slow to understand how to put a bolt in a hole and tighten it until it pushes the pan off, or does that concept not flow in your head?

What would be a good answer for you.

Do you want me to go get a friend have him record me as i pull apart my car and remove some bolts, describe them to you down to the thread count, then remove my oil pan, then ship you the bolt free of charge so you can use it to remove yours with it. Then wait for your next question...

If you don't like the board then leave please, bitch all you want about the members, but either deal with it or leave.

Gee, I would have helped you, but since you decided to act like a fucking cock, I think I'd rather not.

Ah, what the hell.

The bolts you need are indeed located on the tranny. You're either not using the right bolts or you're not inserting them in the correct holes.

Hello all,I read this yesterday befor anybody responded & really didnt understand what the ? was. You most likely did not remove those two 10mm bolts that are hidden behind the clutch inspection cover.I dont know just a WFG,also if you didnt remove the small black pan theres bolt in ther too, like someone said its gonna be a bitch in the car ,so whatever you need todo that requires you to remove the upper pan, might as well pull it. PEACE
