Alright before I start I did search not just zilvia the web. Here goes awhile ago I relocated battery with no problems, then one day it just wouldn't start. Well I tried to figure it out on my own and just came to a halt everytime, So I had a mechanic I know come and look at the car. He tinkered for about 10 mins or so the poof my tranny harness went up in flames. That was a surprise but a bigger one was the mechanic said there was no visible reason for this, so I changed the harness and my clutch line since it was caught in the fire. Now just about a week ago I was headed to get my tat finished and my friend noticed smoke coming from under my car, So I pull over and check nothing so I just went home. Ok so yesterday I go out buy a new alternator and this morning decide to put it in look down and my clutch line is cooked. A brand new clutch line crispy I make a few phone calls check theres nothing around my clutch line that would catch it on fire...What I am asking is there any reason for a clutch line just catching fire?
If you are just going to flame me please dont post.

Remember the old addage...."Where there's heat, there's fire!!" ...it may be applying to you. Check the exhaust piping that runs behind the engine from the exhaust manifold to the EGR valve. Make sure there are no hot gases escaping & heating up any of your harnesses and or clutch line.
Also try checking your fuse box. Make sure you have the proper amperage fuse for each circuit in your car. Bypassing the circuit with the wrong fuse type could cause you to fry the harness & catch your car on fire. You may also want to carefully & THOROUGHLY inspect ALL of your harnesses making sure there are no cuts or nicks in any of the power lines. Something caused your wiring harness to melt - if it wasn't hot exhaust gases leaking somewhere from the engine bay, then it's gonna be an electrical short somewhere.

DO NOT drive your car untill you get this issue fixed...that is unless you want your car to go up in flames....remember...your rubber fuel lines are in the same area where your problem is.
Good luck trying to fix this one...sounds like it's gonna be a BEYOTCH to figure out. Anyhow, hope this helps...
