they fucking suck, there isnt too much to explain, they're just cheap rebrands made in a cheap factory cutting corners wherever they can.
If you're cool with that, then buy em and prove us all wrong, however you're much better off taking the time to save up money and researching a good coilover brand.

so u run them zar and there crap? or r u just like everyone else that bashes them and never even seen them in real life
I would never own a piece of crap of that nature. I have ridden on a car and setup d2's various ways on an acquaintance's s13. And guess what. They still sucked. Don't think you can talk people into telling you they are good.
No way in hell would someone suggest them if they have ridden on quality coilovers. Only people I can think that would suggest Krap-sport coilovers are ones who only had stock blown suspension to gauge from.
To take this one set further, I highly doubt you will really, "track" your car. Because you are worried more about ride comfort than performance. Learn how to form a popper sentence. After that take a dose of fucking common sense.
Don't come at me angry because I said your shit stink.

I condone my grammar the same was in person as I do online. Right now I perceive you as a someone who doesn't have much education/verbal skill.
If you want your car to look cool cut/buy lowering springs since you're so cheap. But you won't find reliability, quality and, cheapness in the same place. Sorry, it won't happen.
If you can't handle a few bumps in your car then maybe you shouldn't mod it.
But if you keep at it the way you wish, you will have a s13 that's like every other pos out there.
You asked a question that has been covered MANY times. I replied with an answer. Other members replied with an answer. Yet you still think someone is going to come out and say that they are the greatest thing since sex.
NOTHING has changed since the old threads have been posted. They stucked then. They suck now. In the future they will continue to suck.

Of which both have shown the same dyno plots as KSport/ D2.

KSport is a decent entry-level coilover setup. Entry-Level means you get your foot in the door with height adjustment, dampening adjustment and camber adjustment. The guys "bashing" them would rather have you spend $1500 instead of $700 on your setup, when it's not really needed if you just want something better than stock. Really I don't know how much better of a driver that would make you if you're coming off of a stock setup -- coilovers are going to benefit your ride handling and skills no matter what brand you choose.
I've used the KSports for the last year and I will tell you that they're OK for daily driving and light practice. If you're looking at KSports then you're most likely on stock suspension, and they are a million times better than that stock shit so you will be happy with them in that regard. You might want to look at the KTS coilovers, they are similar priced and have a slightly better reputation (mostly because they are pushed by a very reputable dealer, SPL).
I finally blew the front right dampener on my KSports after 1.5 years and 8000+ miles and tons of practice and a couple events... I'm upgrading to Stance GR+ Pro.
And learn to type, it makes you come across as some nitwit kid who has no business modifying their car.... GL

hey pj!!!
can you back this claim up? im curious!!
I can't find the pshop of the overlay atm. Spent a few minutes looking for it. Search HondaTech for shock dynos. There was a pretty comprehensive thread there once. The Stance dyno I pulled from Ziptied. Doing some quick conversions (metric), the overlays show very similar damping characteristics (similar digression and range). Given, it'd be more useful to compare same application shocks on the same dyno, though. Who knows, it could've been a freak coincidence that they all lined up fairly well.
When you think about it, though, where are these companies getting their valves/ pistons from? They all claim to be serviceable, but no one has any documentation of it. I've seen both Stance and KSport reps offer dyno plots but never back it up. I've seen both Stance and KSport sponsored drivers mention rebuild documentation and never back it up. Doesn't anyone think it's odd that all these "cheapo" companies came out around the same time? Or that when Stance leaked that they're offering external resevoir shocks, so did KSport?
*shrug* maybe I should inquire about sponsorship myself. So far, though, the only positive feedback that I'd actually even marginally trust has come from a KSport driver, running their 2-way external res. shocks.
In partial defense of KSport: they offer 3 series atm. It seems that most people mention the "cheaper" version saying they suck, and most people mention the "pro" version when they say they don't suck. Personally, I bet both have the same valving, with different shock bodies.
I've been debating going with a cheapo external resevoir coilover for a while (to replace my D2's, which have been adequate for motorsport use, for the most part). At 1/3 the cost of a "real" set of coilovers (Motons. Haven't found Ohlins or Penskes for the S-chassis yet), it's a gamble. My other option is Koni 86xx's, but the twin tube shocks are reportedly bad at keeping up on the rougher surfaces, and the 28xx's I've been advised against street driving on.
Hope that helps.

y would u even comment if u know nothing on the subject . such a useless post
It's not useless. Your typing and grammar skills make you look like a 6yr old retarded child. If that was the case, trying to answer your question is pointless because you're not even educated enough to understand the answer if you received it.
If you can't even take the time to ensure your question is well thought out and easy to read for other members then it's clear you're not actually looking for help. Plus, those who would be willing to help aren't going to buy an ebonics dictionary just to enlighten you. That's why your typing skills should be a concern to you.
excellent post PJ. + rep to you!

I have them on my S14 and they feel really stiff.
They're good on a smooth track.
They're abysmal on roads with potholes and miscellaneous irregularities.

yw, good luck on your upgrade. You'll be happy with whatever you choose, considering you're stepping up from the absolute bottom rung of the suspension ladder -- blown stock shit...
And I'm not retarded lol.
OT, but, damn... You should have already realized a long time ago that your voice, inflection and facial expressions are kinda hard to convey across the internet... All there is to go by is your ability to type out your thoughts clearly and coherently. If your posts look like a SMS from a 13yr old, you're probably not going to get a very good response, especially here. food for thought..........

well what i learned from this form is that there are some people that think that more expensive means better thats bs and that ksport suck well to answer your question i ride all day and night i fuck around town and freeways i have never used them on the track but if there good on the street they should be great on the track. i posted about the seals being replaced and i call the company thats in AZ and am i cali so the phone call did cost much but there really good for daily driving i got my coilovers last year in augs. i got two old stock coilovers (thats old seal) i got one new from the factory and i never had a problem since. in my opinion there great they get bouncer the lower you go on stock 15" wheels but there compared to the tein flex that there almost the same. people that talk shit just do it for fun they fallow the trends for the magz. and really don't know shit. oh on that note don't go magun those really suck i know a guy in my weeky meet that his friend works for magun an the design and the function of then is't good and his a mecanical enginner so i trust his word over any one one zilvia. also some people have high good rep. because they have all there friends add good conments. i reply like this because i good my rep knoted down from this ass holes how think they know what there talking about. any one can repeat anything remember that. hope this helps in you choose.

I have them on my s13 and I like them. They have taken a pretty good beating and still haven't leaked. Ive had jic coilovers and tein. They both blew their seals. If I had the money I would go silk road or hks but for the money k sports are decent. They ride just a stiff as jic but don't have the adjust ability of a higher end coilover. Not a daily driver setup. Hope this helps a little.

if d2 is ksport....why the big price difference. i know its the same company..but isnt d2 a little more higher end???????
Either way, D2 is still crap, I had a front blow after one track day. Rears blew after like 7-8 months of DD.
felt nice and stiff on the road and the track , but when looking at pics of the car on the track it looks all rolly and yuk.
These were S13 D2's in C33 9kg front-7kg rear. Probably over sprung but meh.
I wouldn't buy them again.

ksports do suck for daily.
i had them
i sold them
because i hated them
and wanted to go back to stock
but im getting different coilovers
wanted to go with the kts or stance to see what the craze is about
but i got a good deal on two different sets of new coilovers
so yes.
in all,
ksports = NG!

Just stating that they are stiff doesn't give ANY help. If you can't handle anything aside from stock, they stay stock. The fact of the matter is ALL coilovers are going to have some form of discomfort. So you can't expect to have coilovers that will keep your car flat and bound/rebound quickly without diminished road quality.
No way around it.
As I said prior. People who are commenting on coilovers when they haven't felt others nor have felt propperly setup coils should keep comments to themselves. Let along the, "I know this dude who knows my friend who has these..."
