I need the rear hub bushing that goes in the hub, and that the rear lower controll arm goes through. This is for an S13. I removed it without knowing I didn't need to, and I melted the hell out of the rubber part. I don't need the one that goes in the contoll arm, I need the oneon the hub side. I have called all the dealers and parts stores in my area, with no luck. Anyone know how to get one? Also there is no way to get them ou of a car at a junkyard, once they pop in, you have to melt them out. I was thinking I might be able to get a performance on, but the only ones i could find are teh small ones, like at pdmracing. (the rear controll arm hub bushing is biger than the rest. Any help would be appreciated.

dood,
go out right now... RIGHT NOW! and buy a manual for your car! Before you strart changing stuff, learn what it is called and how it is assembled!
I have no idea what part you are thinking of but here is a guess. If it is not the "control arm side" then you must be refering to the ball joint located under the read hub. There is only one nut with a cotter pin holding it together. right?
If so, then ask the parts stor for a lower rear ball joint. It may be rivoted in or bolted in, or you may need to buy the whole lower control arm. Get a manual.
(not trying to be a jerk, just trying to save you some time & $ <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Well I got the part. So no worries there. And I have a chilton's manual. Now the only thing I need to do is remove all those metal sleeves that go between the hub/controll arm and the bushings. because the bushings that I got don't require them. I have been told to cut them and use a press on them, but I am having trouble getting my hubs off. The only thing I have to remove is the lower ball joint. The bolt that had the cotter pin in it is being very stubborn. The closest thing to this that is mentioned in the chilton's manual is doing the hub bearings. There is nothing in that manual about removing the hub. Or the ball joints. I did the tie rod ends up front with ease, I dont understand why this one is so much worse.
***FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING WHITELINE CAMBER CORRECTION BUSHINGS: DONT!***
I wish I could go back and decide to "mickey mouse it" and slot out my controll arms for free!!!!

to remove the lower ball joint:
remove all the control arms, brake & disk, shock, big nut on end of driveshaft. Now you can move the knuckle around relaivle freely.
thread the nut on a couple of threads to protect them. take a BFH and VERY CAREFULLY hit the knuckle where the ball joint goes thru. DON'T MISS, if you do you will either split the boot on the ball joint or screww up the threads. Both will require a new ball joint. you may want to hit it with some pen. lube and put some upward pull on the hub when striking.
This is the hillybilly way of getting them off but works AS LONG AS YOU ARE CAREFUL!
ps. if it doesn't come apart, get a bigger hammer! Did I tell you not to miss?

hmmmm. Sounds like I won't need to buy the ball joint fork thing. (the one that does the job of the hammer) Thanks.
