I was just wondering if anyone cut their stock QP before riveting on the widebody kit. Or do you just place it over. I would think it would look kind of tacky without cutting it... I was thinking maybe making a custom cover for the will well... What do you guys do?

I wonder if anybody has ever melted their front wide fenders because of the tires rubbing too much. But yea, I've seen pictures of people cutting the rear quarter panel and then putting the wide fenders over it.

If you don't have to cut the stock arch out your car sucks and you don't need overfenders.

you need to cut it way up, go 1-2inches over the little body line

YOu'll have to cut the quarter panels. Becuase when the car rebounds and you have wide wheels, the panel will rub on the tires.

yea you're suppose to cut the rear 1/4 pannel then hit up the inner fender up to where you cut the outside of the 1/4 pannel then you can weld it together or just use some sort of sealant then put the widebody over it.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ASKING ABOUT THIS REMEDIAL CRAP FOR? IF YOU CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT, EAT CRAP AND DIE YOU USELESS PILE OF CRAP!!!##@%@ WHY THE HELL ARE YOU PUTTING ON WIDE FENDERS IF YOU DON'T CUT THE FENDERS????

<Angry Russ Mode = OFF>

There are 2 reasons people use wide fenders:

1. cosmetics, and
2. clearance.

If all you care about is #1, you don't have to do anything you don't want.

For #2, you need to trim the lip and then seam weld the remaining portion. If not, there's no point to getting wide fenders because you still have stock clearance. May as well save money and stay stock at that point.
