I just purchased 16x8 0 offset sportmax 002's. Will 215/50's give me the stretched look?

205/50/16.

Why do you want stretch?

You should stretch to MAKE your wheels fit, if you don't have issues making them fit, it's just gonna make you look poor.

go like 195 and you may get a stretched look. I run 18x9 and a 225 40 and its pretty stretched but its a whole nother ball game once you get in 17s and 18s + so yeah. Try and run the smallest side wall you can, thus a more streteched look.

it kind of depends on what tire also. some tires stretch is different than others. and +1 to what Falkon said

Why would you get a bigger tire to give it a stretched look?

5t, i'm not sure you know what stretched means. he want the tires to be tighter, not more square.

i have 16x8s with 225/50 on it and they are slightly less than square. anything less will be stretched, how much is your call. you can probably fit a 205 (though i don't know why you'd want to) so either would work, just decide on how much stretch you want.

strecthing for the look is retarded....however if your putting these wheels on a stock body S13 then go with 205/50/16 suggested above. It's not going to be much of a strecth but if you really wanted the "look" just find some 195's:rolleyes:

well I am planning on dumping my car pretty low and a buddy of mines car rubs a little during turns with his 16's. I have stance gr+pros on the way and dont want any rubbing issues.

I know this is offtopic but this is cause Im poor and have extra tires laying around.

Could a 205 40 go on an 17x 8.5?

sure, people have put 205's on 9" wide wheels. Good luck finding someone to do it.

Streching tires to fit is :bigok:

I have 16x8 +0 work ewing meshes. If you're going to slam it on 205's it won't fit... front might with camber, but i had 205's in the back with 3 degrees and it didn't fit. I threw $150 away cause of that. However, pull those rear fenders and a 205 will fit. I'd say, go with 195/50's and you'll be good. I can try to get pics tomorrow for you.

Why the hell would you want to stretch that?

That's useless. As said by 240FaLKoN. It's done for fitment not looks. And trust me you will have NO problems with fitment. Just toss some tires on there and come back when you have money to purchace wheels worth having a stretch for.

I would like to run bigger tires, but like you stated, its for fitment. I bought a set of 205's for the rear and threw them on. First i couldn't get down the driveway because when the tire went up in the wheel well it was stuck on the fender acting like a brake, that took a few guys and a mad burnout to get it to a place to work on it. So i lifted it up a little and drove around....this time i just shredded the top of the sidewall. So went back the next day and got some 195's put on the back, yay success!

Now just saving some money for parts and gonna get a fender roller that way i can get something a little wider

It's a 240SX not an AE86.
That's why you don't buy 0 offset 8'' wheels =P

You shoulda went for the Sportmax 501 wheels that are +15mm.

Those are the ones I want to get so i can fit maximum 245's y0.
Actually I'm on a stock KA, so 245's are pointless, I'll go for 225's instead when the time arises.

Good luck with the stretch. Just so you know, your tires will not last as long with stretched fitment.

if your in southern cali, and you want to get a tire stretched on a new wheel, I highly reccomend The Wheel Supply in diamond bar area. They work with many high end cars and showcars with very expensive wheels. They wont scratch your wheels to hell, or refuse to stretch it as long as its within reason. Very cool people too.

GL with the fitament.

Sounds like you need to roll your fenders, if you're rubbing on a 8" wide with a 205.

even Viceroy aint got no magic they can work to make 15s look cool.

16x8 -15 Demon cambers is smallest wheel on the map.

Tire size is 205/55/16 sidewall was too big, but I got the tires for dirt cheap.

Probably due to the wrong offset wheel & slamming it excessively low.

FYI-I run 18X10.5" rear (255/40-18) & 18X9.5" front (225/40-18) without any rubbing anywhere, but my car isn't that low. I like my front bumper too much & am not a drifter...

No offense man. But there is 2 reasons you didnt find a answer. One, you didnt search. Two, If you did search it yeilded no answers because NO ONE STRETCHS anything less then 17's. Its pointless. 90% of 15's/16's clear unless you have some super jdm tyte y0 offsets. If you do stretch, post up a pic. I am interested to see how it looks. *a

heres some more opinions.
sport max suck
15s suck
205/50s suck

215/50's will not be stretched on an 8" wide wheel. Stretched tires on 15's and 16's are only cool on Hachis, if you want to stretch tires on a 240, you should get at least 17x9's.

You should stretch to MAKE your wheels fit, if you don't have issues making them fit, it's just gonna make you look poor.
Poor people can't afford to go to a shop that's willing to stretch tires, most places won't do it because of liability issues, unless you're in Japan. :)

please don't stretch on 15's on s-chassis. it doesn't just make baby jesus cry, it gives him night terrors. *ahhhhh cobras*

i'm not gonna knock the sportmax, but roll your fender and get whatever tires you want.
