Ok guys - this is something that has been in the works for awhile we just had to keep our mouths shut. Basically w/ the help of an ex ESPN and his crew we are pushing this toward network television. Help get the word out so we can make this work!

Enjuku Racing & Motorcine Media have teamed up and began production on a new reality show concept based around the ever-growing sport of drifting.

The Drift Effect will go where no other "build-up" show has gone before. Follow along as Team Enjuku, a privateer professional drift team, scramble to turn a factory stock Nissan 350Z into a fully-prepared professional drift car in 45 days. The car will be built to be piloted by Robby Unser in the Formula Drift Championship Series, the nation's first and largest professional drift series.

The program will be shot in 1080i HD using the latest in High-Definition cameras and will also document the team testing/practicing at various venues before the race seasons starts.

member before Tokyo Drift came out, nobody knew about drifting it was an underground thing the people who were really into touge did!
it just going to make stupid ass rich kids try to do stupid shit in the mountains with their mom BMW's or Vipers (like Holgens dumb ass kid)
or dumb ass kids trying to drift in their HONDAS and ACURAS (not into them more of a NISSAN person)

drifting has been mainstream for a while now. remember the first fast and furious game or whatever it was called? it had drifting in it, second one had drifting. lots of people knew about drifting before that movie and many were doing it years before this. and there are events almost in every state now and the d1gp is on tv every week on redline tv.

and kids will always drive stupid and try to drift in their ff cars. hell falken even has a civic that ass slides around. but driftings been outta the underground for a while so I dont think this will do any harm. maybe more exposure to the sport but still whats the harm in that?

this isnt a stab at you just stating my opinion.

I normally hate reality TV because it takes jobs away from actors and stunt people like myself and many of my friends, but being a motorsport, im guessing your probably pushing it to more motorsport/sports oriented stations which dont really have many union TV shows to begin with.

It would be cool if you guys put your pilot up on the net for us to all watch. =)

in response to M4Rl0Ns post: If the show is done properly (assuming its picked up) It gives drifting a chance to be exposed in a different light, as an organized motorsport, and not a "side show" or affiliated with "street racing". FF3 was a great movie but in some senses it didnt promote drifting in a positive manner. This could be a chance to change the way peoples negative perception of drifting. I just hate the fact that it has to be "reality TV"
