Hello guys, I just ordered everything for my oil cooler setup. While I wait for all the parts to arrive, I need to find a sandwich adapter that has 1/8 bspt ports for my greddy oil press gauge. Well, all i can find is adapters from splparts.com and greddy. If anyone can let me know of any other sandwich plates with 1/8 bspt ports, that would be great. Well, anyway, spl is out of stock and I searched ebay for the greddy adapters and plenty is avialable.
I was searching on here to get some info on the greddy unit and i came across this old thread (http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=53376&highlight=greddy+sandwich)
In reply #7, member, HaLo had leaking problems with his...
I was wondering if this was because of install error? he didnt torque it enough or didnt use teflon tape(like he said)? or was it simply because greddy is crap?
your input is appreciated..
thanks in advance...

broodwich > Greddy Sammich
Just take out your stock sensor and put the greddy in there.
stock light activates at like 10psi, completely worthless.

I don't think we are out of stock on the KA/SR adapters...
FWIW, we used to offer the Greddy adapters but after 2-3 returns due to leaks we switched to selling the Omori adapters. The Greddy ones are cast so the tolerances aren't as nice as the Omori ones which are CNCed billet.

hmmm....thats weird, i called you guys yesterday and a guy picked up the phone, took my order and said that the ka 3/4-16 sandwich adapters are out of stock and theres a 2week waiting period...so i cancelled..
which greddy part number ones were you guys selling? was it the 12002801, because it says
here on greddy's website (http://greddy.com/products/display/?Category=oil&SubCategory=27) that their adapters are billet, so i asume it's machined......
i am still interested in the 0mori ones you guys offer because my brother has it and he has no problems....

they always have piles of them every time Im up there.
anyways, Id still just go with a T fitting on your oil feed line.
with the exception of fat hoes and subframe collars (spl of course), the greddy sandwhich adapter is the best thing i've accesorized my car with that costs under a c-note!
mine does not leak, because i installed it right, and i installed its fittings correctly as well. My roomate didnt put his tight enough and it leaked, luckily we went over the whoel car as soon as we turned it over and fixed the problem, you must make sure you dont fuck with the large o-ring and put it back in the wrong way.
As far as updates, both his and mine are doin fine.... except mine is in a box at the shop awaiting re-install for the 07 season, but you get the point.
In either case, i would deff. reccomend buying a greddy or better... the ebay ones just dont seem safe, i've seen one up close and the o-ring is dingy and thin.... spend the esxtra 30 for the goodstuff.
Also, to beware all those who may think differently, summit sells a diverted oil sandwhich plate for like 30 bucks, BUT it doesnt work the same way as the greddy and others, it sends the oil from the pan, all the way to the cooler/etc before returning to the pan whereas the greddy sends some to your "Devices" while letting some go through the filter and back into the pan immediately....

I agree with kuah that Greddy ones tend to leak even with teflon tape. Even after tightening my sensor up, it still leaked a little. It really doesn't bother me too much but if I were to do it over again, I'd go with a billet piece.
