does anyone know how the heck do you get this thing out? how are you supposed to pry this out? any help at all would be apprecited.

i need to get this out without mangling it, or am i better off just cutting the sr dust boot in half?

the one between the shifter plate and the stick? i think u can twist the top stick part off. im not sure.

There's three boots total, which one?

the boot between the driveshaft and tranny, not the shifter, my bad.



its a thin metal ring that doesnt come out under any physical law in nature. do i really need to swap this into a sr tranny for a sr swap?

That's not a boot.

On S13s, the ring can be removed but you have to mangle it to get it out, On S14s it pops right off. In either case, you don't need it, it just keeps excess dust off the yoke. Unless you're driving in the desert or you never clean your car don't worry about it.
