Has anyone put a flowmaster exhaust on their KA? I'm tempted because of the deep tone of the stock exhaust, but I haven't heard of anyone else doing it. Any input?

Flowmaster is not good for performance, get a magnaflow exhaust or HKS Hiper Exhaust.

I can speak from personal experience here.

MAGNAFLOW FOR THE MOTHER FUCKING WIN.

Just got the magnaflow 2 1/2 in, 2 1/2 out, import muffler.(the strait through design which is basically glasspack w/ metal filler) SOUNDS GREAT. It is very deep, smooth, and much much much more quiet than my apexi.

did i mention,..... no resonator...

take my word for it...get the magnaflow(you can paypal me the 10 bucks after its on your car and you fall in love w/ it)

edit- thanks to Thatguy, Drift Freaq, and Phlip... Look for the post about custom exhaust.

I'm not sure I like the sound of Magnaflow but all I've heard it on was a 300zx, It seems to drone at like 2500-3000rpm, I just want to enhance the sound my car already makes

Doesn't the resonator make your interior quieter? I'm not looking for all out performance or anything, just a nice sounding exhaust.

Thanks for the answers, almost bought a 60 series flowmaster today and I figured I'd post first

I don't know how a single Flowmaster 60 series will sound on a 4 banger, but my dual Flowmaster 40 series muff's on my 5.0L had a very annoying drone at 2500-3000ish rpms? Do some more research on this if its high on your unwanted list.

I have one on my 1993 KA.40 series Delta Flow. Without a resonator it is very growly and idle sounds mean as hell turns head when you start it up. But then it has this loud rasp that is pretty obnoxious in the higher rpms. You have to get a large resonator which my exhaust guy calls a "turbo tube" I dunno why, to get rid of that rasp.. But yeah I like the sound alot. No other KA I know sounds like mine I like mine the most lol. And every one who hears it really likes it.

If I can I will try to get a clip of it. I don't have a camera I'll have to ask a friend to bring one over.
