Try esurance.com

Alot of people on here recommend that as well.

$50 a month for my 91 s13, just liability. I have no tickets or accidents. I've been driving for 6 years.

it all depends on your zipcode and what color car you drive, and the displacement of the motor.

I have tried three, most exp was AAA, esurance was cheap, but mercury's quote has been the cheapest. $400 or so a year for liability.

i have esurance. i pay about $83 a month. no tickets or accidents. i 've been driving since i was 16. it's pretty much liability. i'm covered if the other person doesn't have insurance. getting a qoute from is realy fast! i have a 6 month coverage. if you pay the whole 6 months up front you'll save $20 i think. check it out!!!

it all depends on... what color car you drive...

In all my experience with car insurance underwriting, I have never seen this before.

Perhaps only some carriers consider colour.

usaa.com, but USAA stands for United Service Automobile Association. 'Service' as in military service, you can only be a member if you are in the military, a dependant, or retired. it's almost worth joining the military just to be a part of this bank. their service is awesome and rates are cheap. all my finances are with them, accounts, credit card, insurance.

my last insurance company asked for the color of my car...maybe some colors get into more accidents...i don't know.

USAA banking for the win. But I hear they are pretty strict with the car insurance.

Strict how?

In my experience USAA has been exceptional. They beat all the other insurance companies pricewise and they're customer service is awesome.

2 examples.

Somebody broke into my car and busted my driver's side window (and all they ended up stealing was my stereo remote, fuckers). Even though I didn't have comprehensive coverage within 3-4 hours they called me back and recommended some window repairers that came out to my apartment and fixed it that day for around $100. Not bad.

My friend hit a deer driving back from Park City and messed up his front end. He took it to the dealership to get an estimate. USAA approved the claim within 24 hours and his car was fixed within 3 or 4 days after that.

Plus, they're damn supportive of service members. And I get a check refund from them every year.

I <3 USAA.

Yeah, because you're 18.

Insurance companies look at where you live (by zipcode), what age group you fall into, what gender you are, what kind of car you drive, and what your driving history is like.

If you're an 18 year old male, living and driving in a shitty part of town, driving a sports car, and have 1 or 2 moving violations under your belt, yeah, you're gonna get owned by the insurance company.

I don't know how many of those factors apply to you specifically, but it's something you should keep in mind.

Good Luck!
