Redline MT-90, like 240trainee said, it works great with Nissan transmissions.

Anyone try Lucas Gear Oil?

not the stabilizer but the actual gear oil.

Our Trannies came from nissan soaked in non-synthetic.

I used to run red-line but havent in a long time.

Migth do it again.

I used that actually. Felt pretty damn good, syncs up nice and smooth, as i would imagine RedLine would. Never tried redline, so can't say shit about it.

KA trannies are SR trannies. So yes.

Hey guys, sorry for bringin up an old thread. I took my motor out of my car a few days ago and we realized my tranny had almost NO fluid in it. The guy that done the swap before me must not have put any it it. Anywho. I've search lots of threads and haven't found anything yet. Is there a type of fluid that I can buy at my local Autozone and put in? It's my daily so I kinda need the fluid now instead of waiting for some to be shipped. Any help is appreciated.

API GL4 ABSOLUTELY!!!

GL5 gear oils are bad for syncromesh on nissan tranny, any tranny

I'm with others, Redline MT90 FTW ^^

Any GL4 will do. Redline MT90 is also ok but tends to be very notchy on colder climates until the tranny warms up. I use 1 32 oz. bottle of Pennzoil Syncromesh and fill the rest with GL4 on my KA tranny. I use nothing but Motul on my RB25 tranny.

Amsoil GL4. Awesome stuff. Its pricey but you get what you pay for. My tranny feels like butter.

I have lucas Gear oil in my rb20 and really dont like it. It gets really notching after running for a while. Ill be switching to amsoil when funds become available.
