ok so i need a horn to pass inspection in MA i need to install one just wondering how to do this and how hard it actually is. found this online http://www.rallylights.com/useful_info/horn_wiring.htm wondering what i need to buy if i have nothing to start with. also battery is in the trunk and a tomei steering wheel dont know if that makes the set up any different. i want to know how hard this is because its like -15 here and i have no garage ill do it if its a quick install but if not i might just have a shop do it if i went that route how much should i expect to pay. sorry in advance for this super noob question just never done this before....flame away if you must

the guy i go to in ny never checks the horn. you need to get hooked up from the inside man. lol. this one dude i used to go to only checked the reverse lights, paid cash, and was out in 5 minutes. but anyways. i have a 240 but never taken it apart from the steering wheel itself, but on another car ive done theres just 2 connections from the stock setup and when you press on the horn all its doing is completing a circuit to the horn by contacting the 2 points at the wheel. if you have an aftermarket setup on the wheel you should still have some kind of wiring from before. all i would do is prove that it works with the contacts and tell him you have a part on the way. since you have the battery in the trunk, it would take you some time outside to rewire everything and a shop will prob charge you between 40 and 80 dollars for the job. thats my guess anyway. good luck.

^^ yeah im pretty sure i dont have any of the wires connectors or anything car came with an sr already and previous owner said he never installed a horn im sure i can get an ispection sticker but also just need a horn just in general if its 40-80 id pay that to avoid these ridiculous temps. so if i have nothing what do i need: horn, relays positive and negative wire... anything else?

sounds about it to me, garages usually charge you at least an hour and you know that putting in a few wires together and mounting a horn doesnt take an hour. if i was you, i would risk the cold and just keep the car running with the heat on while you run your wires just turn it off before you do your actual wiring :D

So you have no horn period? Buy one and plug it in, the wire is still hanging somewhere out front, then wire in a pushbutton in the column. Everything is there already.
