i heard this clicking noise that i thought was due to a hole in my exhaust. well i get the exhaust fixed and it still is making that fuckin clicking noise.
I havent got on the car or even taken it past 5000 rpm, cause I bought it ka-t,( I know bought someone else project car, was the first mistake) the car also idles funny. after it warms up the car will idle from 100rpm to 900 rpm up and down in a steady rythm. so i hear different things like vacum leak, boost leak, and now I even hear from people the it could be a bent valve. im not leaking oil anywhere, I really dont kow where to start.
the cars compression was tested just before i bought it and it wasnt makeing this noise, when i bought it. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Rod Bearings

time to get a new long block. or better yet build a new motor.

If its loud the crank is prolly scored so the bottom end is trash.

your title say tempo will increase when your rpms increase so the only thing that comes to mind is that your valve lash is out of spec and shound be adjusted.

but on ka i believe we use a hydro. system for our valve adjust. fsm say that there are no other adj. that you could do for the valves.

but i got a reading more in a chilton book but im not to sure if it was under the ka motor section but it say you can put a shim there but.. ill check again cant really trust chilton lol so ill look in fsm for you
