What internals should I get?  And when I get the rebuild done, with the internals will there be a power difference?

Depends on what you want. If you're going to force feed, prolly get lower compression pistons to allow higher boost safely. If you want to be n/a, get higher compression pistons. You could see a power difference depending on the internals you get. . .

Since you want higher boost it really depends how far you are going to go. But for sure you want to change your pistons and connecting rods. If you are going pretty high boost, you could always get your cylinders sleaved, but it isn't as bad on the iron block... if you want, while the whole thing is open get it ported and polished for higher flow, which is even more important when going forced induction. If you want really high boost you will have to get a stronger crank, but I don't even knw if they make one for the ka. Other than that, slightly opeversized and reinforced valves (stainless steel usually) and some stronger valve springs so you can push the engine harder without worrying... there is a lot of stuff you can do that you don't have to though.

Basically this is what I want. &nbsp;I'm going to get my engine rebuilt because I know the stock internals can't hold a boost more than 7 or something, &nbsp;I want to get 250-300 Horsepower out of my engine with bolt-ons and a turbo. &nbsp;I'm asking what do I NEED to get put in when I do the rebuild? &nbsp;Rods and pistons? &nbsp;Or do I NEED more? &nbsp;Basically I dont want to do anything that I dont need to do.

the ka engine can take more the 7psi... i think west was running 11? on stock internals (may br wrong about this) i do know that after 5-7ish psi you will need new injectors and with that probably a new fuel pump.

Guys, the current level is at 1.0bar or 14.5psi of boost on 91 octane with 318rwhp backed with dyno charts.

All this on stock internals... it's an equivalent of 365 crank hp... 300hp mark was long past at 11psi.

Just make sure you have enough fuel...

Guys I'm just asking what would be good to buy when I get my engine rebuilt. &nbsp;Because I'm going to be getting it done within the next couple months and I'd like to have everything I need so that we can put it in. &nbsp;I know I need pistons and rods, &nbsp;what kind? &nbsp;What else would be good to do or have when I get the rebuild?

and had i been given an answer, i'd tell you
i'd get JWT forged pistons i had heard something about them a long time ago, but i even asked them.....no reply which makes me want to sell this #### car!

While you're replacing the pistons and rods. You might as well replace any worn out gaskets and piston rings just in case while you're in there. Clean out the valves and do whatever you can to make that engine look and run as good as new with some brand spankin' new OEM parts. Clean, clean, clean! Have fun. It sounds like a fun project.
