Well at work today i was building a garage and i was up 20 feet stacking plywood on the cealing joist getting ready to put the rafters on for the roof system so my buddy chad and i got about 20 sheets of ply up on the joists and the foreman handed up the rafters to see how they fit chad and i get them up and the foreman jumps up with us to help out than all of a suddon the joists fold down one breakes and we went flying stright down to the concrete. The forman f*cked up his ancle, my buddy hurt his hip a little and me i got the worst of it all. Chads tossed his rafter that is a 2x8''x10' long weights about 20 pounds right my way ( what a nice guy ) hit me in the face cut me up pritty good and swelled up pritty good i broke a 2x4'' with my back and messed up me elbow

A coworker and I were carrying a server over to a rack once and as I started to line the rails up gets a cramp in his hand. The crack lets go of the server which by this time is connect to the rail on my side and swings down and nails me in the shine. The rail the brakes and the piece of shit lands on my feet. I was so pissed... I mean what kind of guys hands cramp? My hands are tough ass hell hehehe

Ouch! Did you file any type of job incident report... all 3 of you might have complications down the road. You need to protect yourself if anything happens. Probably should go see a doctor as well just to be safe.
Like you said though, it sounds like it could of been a lot worse and even though you were hurt, you came out lucky.
Good luck,

You should take the week off! Yup file for workman's comp baby, that's what I'd do. I'd milk it for all it's worth!

It's all about the health insurance. I have one semester to go, and then I'll graduate and hopefully get full benefits working for NAU maintenance.
Haven't had anything happen to me yet. I do climb on the hardpan ceiling above Ardrey Aditorium to change lights pretty regularly. About 30 or 40 feet up, and if it breaks you fall on a row of seats.
Had a good one a while back when the electrician accidently crossed 408v at the nadatorium. BIG boom and scorched wires for 50 feet.
