They're actually Chinese. Based on the dialect, I'd have to say most likely Taiwanese.

it's neat concept though, make a slinky in a shape of a chair, and make it relaly, really big.

I'm pretty sure it can support a good amount of weight.

Looks like it could support a decent amount of weight. You'd only have problems when you stretch it out too far, or lay one side flat on the ground.
I'd get one. Be great for when guests come over and you need extra seating, and then put it away to save space. Excellant.
