Fan Question?

if I upgrade to a slim line electric fan system on the back of the radiator can I remove the stock fan from the engine and the ugly fan shroud without any harm being done and probably a much better air flow?

The stock fan does a good job when used with the shroud. If you are going to get an electric fan, then you can take out the stock fan and shroud. Another cheap alternative is to get a fan from a mid 90s taurus

Whatever you put in at least needs it's own shroud, you'll find the OE fans aren't very efficient since most of the air is blowing around the radiator, not through it.
