I was wondering if this connection was where greddy thinks you should connect your BOV, or what it's for.

yes you can, but usually people'll get theirs on their hot pipes. cap it off if not used

I ordered an S13 SR20DET FMIC kit before I changed my mind and switched to an S14 SR20 kit, but when I first received the S13 kit, I do recall that lower hot pipe having an extension like the one pictured above. If you look through the installation manual (assuming you have access to one), you will most likely see a pictoral representation of what we are talking about and if I remember, it does say that is what this extension is used for. I'm not sure what most people do with this as I didn't have to deal with it with my kit.

You could have a skilled welder grind it down to the base pipe, tack weld on some thin gauge aluminum to that rough shape, and finish TIG welding/polish the pipe to completely hide it was there in the first place. Expect to pay from $40-60 for a complete job.

yes that is a bov bung, mine looked like that too, i used it to mount my R2D2, worked out perfect =)

but im guessing that bung is intended for people who want to run the stock recirc valve
