The Basics:

Type of Event: HPDE (High Performance Driving Event), not a race. This is a track day open to drivers of all skill-levels and car types for practice. Grip and Drift drivers will be in separate run groups!

Details: This is a high-seat time driving event, in the past our events have had more than enough seat time for all of the drivers and we plan to keep it that way. Safe environment to push the limits of your car and find out what you and your car can do.

I did a lot of grip and drifted for a good 2-3 hours on a pair of tires. I only went through 4 all day and I was grip/drift all day. Depends on how you drive and what kind of tires.

What walls, are you guys runing on the oval out there??? If so, yea the banking there is a lil trickey in turn 3 & 4. But for the most part its all 2nd gear clutch kick,then feather it around. You can shift up to 3rd on the straight but gonna have to go back to 2nd. Or you can try and long sl!de it!!!!!!,be aware of the banking Watch your H2O temps !!!!:2f2f: :bigok:..


94Accord - if you have spares then bring em,if not then make sure your tires are fairly chunky,& monitor them through out the day!!!

I ALWAYS bring spares to the track. One never knows when an errant rock will find its way through the carcass...

If you have a VLSD or open diff, you can get away with bringing only one spare. If you have a clutch-type, you need two spares with the same OD to prevent undue wear on the diff should you lose a rear.

Don't worry about a floorjack, stands, or blocks to roll up on... I always bring mine and am more than happy to lend them to whomever needs them.

Its not to dangerous as long as you know your limits and dont think you are d1 style touge master :) I wouldnt drive there as a beginner drifter its very intimidating, grip is super fun up there though. If you are more like intermediate drifter you will be fine.

Hello,ya see this is is why the SRT Trackday rules. You can go out in the morn Beginner grip groups keep the speed down & learn the place,then turn around & give it a go with the DORI-DORI. If your gonna drift just take it one section of track at a time .PEACE

Normally there are 3 groups, begginer grip, advanced grip, and drift. 15 minute run groups rotate every 15 minutes. Your in one of the run groups depending on skill level and if you are grip or drift.

Where are you located? SRT has two locations you can go in and pay. Not sure about onsite registration have to wait for Sam to chime in.

San Diego. I usually just pay the day of because that leaves me some room for error just in case something happens and i can't make it. (like replacing fuel filter, fuel pump, maf sensor in a mcdonalds parking lot on the way to drift buffet...lol)

Car should be well into the 2200lb area, considering it was 2303 with the heavy Optima and stock trunk lid as well as some miscellany. The ATS helps track times, too.

Will also be rocking the new CEs.

Spectators are welcome, there is limited viewing though the way the pits are setup. And the pit area is pretty small so spectator parking is limited.

Ahh we are working on it just hands are full with the comp. But yeah I live eat breath and sleep drifting. I am at the track every weekend it seems and I work on my car everyday at work it feels like. But someday it will be finished and running correctly and painted and what not and I can just drive.

If you nail a lotus on the track,accidentally of course, is there ANY liability or is it the "you're on a track, its a risk you take" thing?" Like i said, i've been to other events and will be at this one regardless, but just wondering.

There is only passing on one part of the course, its not a race unless the lotus is in tandem drift with you no reason you should hit it. But yeah thats between you and the owner, there is no real liability but he might be pretty pissed. I almost hit r33 skyling, s13 and an evo. But they all did something stupid in front of me :)

Yeah we still drive close but usually with people we know I try to give other people a little room unless I am way faster and want around. HTM is a lot slower speed track most of it is 2nd gear top of 3rd most. So its not to hairy.

You dont need a jack someone will have one you can borrow at the track. Not sure what harbor frieghts return policy is.

:-/ i owned my car today... several times...

on the third lap of the day, i spun and owned my front end, banged up my rear quarter, and greatly bruised my ego...

but overall, it turns out it was just cosmetic damage...

and when everyone was leaving my car wouldn't start!! luckily we caught sam as he was leaving so he towed me outside of willow springs and then called AAA and got a flatbed about 1.5 hours later...

then some homies (driftsilvias13 and friends) helped out and replaced the alternator and power steering pulley and got my car running...

Another great track event, anyone who missed it should be dissapointed, it was an awesme event with more track time than you can handle! I had to conserve tires to make it through the day because there was soooo much track time! Tandem with Matt and Dan was cool wish I drifted more. Grip was great fun too, always fun to chase around faster cars with more grip than me :)

hmm i've been to just drift @ balcony and oval once each... so technically this was the 3rd time on the track... 1st time on horse thief mile...

i spun out plenty of times (seriously almost every run) @ balcony and oval and just couldn't get the hang of drifting, but all it did was get dust/dirt all over my car...

i figured since this is a grip event, i wouldn't spin out... i guess not :-/

Thanks I was just having fun. Maybe next time the car will be a little better. I have mad toe out in the front for no reason, and it was only boosting to 8psi which isnt much on that little t25. Lots of work, seems like everytime I go out its just that much more work afterwards :) Cant wait till the next one!

Thanks Colin sent them over last night. I just measured my alignment on the front because the car has been horrid lately. Now I know why, already knew I had horrible toe out you can see it just by looking at the car. Castor 12+* both sides and Camber 4+* on both sides. Luckily I picked up the alignment tools on sat. and can do it before next event.
