ok i'm ordering a battery relocation kit for my 240 and i was wondering where you run the wires. i know it's fairly simple as far as ur just run the neg an pos connections to the back but how exactly do the wires get back there/ where are they run through?
thanx -dave

run it under your car

The kit will probably have instructions but if it does not this is what I'm going to do:
I'm just going to get a bunch of that wire harness wrap, ya know the round kind that is hard plastic, that is big enough for both wires and some zip-ties of the same color. Then I'm going to wrap the wires with it and run them along a brake line. Securing them to it with the zip-ties. Making sure to stay out of the way of moving parts and hot stuff. The brake lines are fairly hidden from view so the wires shouldn't be to easy to notice.
Anyone else got any better ideas?

You might try running them along the fuel line as those are usually pretty well protected.

*KABOOM!*
Hehe, be careful with the fuel lines. I am sure it is safe, but I am paranoid.
What about the box for the battery? And where do you mount the box? I may do this. Free up some room up there, maybe help my weight balance a wee bit too.

just drill a hole in the fire wall and run the line in the car under your carpet, you only have to run the positve, because you can ground the negative in the trunk.

I am currently doing a battery relocation also in my car, and I was told for Track and Tech Purposes, the POsitive wire has to be run inside the cab of the vehicle.

hes right all you need to run is the pos. wire the ground off the battery atachs to the body of the car i would use the seatbelt bolt best ground in the area!!
come on this is not rocket science <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

why do you guys want to drill hjoles for? either go thru the grommet located in your driver side fender(when you remove the wheel well you can see it) opr go thru the grommets that your ac was? dont know about that though. i would go inside the car never on the outside with a wire so essential to starting your car
