Yeah my gf is from Russia. The mans apt isnt the kind where you rent its basically given or assigned to you. Thats why they dont go around knocking on your door for rent or etc. So yeah if you go missing and no one knows you its like pffft whatever. No one really has credit so no ones goin around collecting too. Just imagine a bum with a home.

This isn't the first time I've heard things like this happening in Russia (or anywhere else for that matter).

Perhaps it was public housing that was recently privatized, and that's why it took them so long to check out the apartment.

If I was dead I don't think I would mind my body being forgotten. The thought about it beforehand sucks, but I'm sure when it actually happens its not all that bad. My roommates would open my door at LEAST by the first of the next month to try to make me pay rent.
