Well this sucks that i fear waking up and not seeing my car.
Im happy today cuz i went to the junkyard and talked to the owner and he let me into the private lot in the back, there was a 240 with complete leather interior and a black coupe both were fresh out of the auction. I got first pickings .

run a hidden switch to the fuel pump or the ignition. Cut that shit off when you park.

Sounds like a close one for your car.

^^^^ kill switch is the way to go. just put one on the ground to the battery and hide the switch somewhere in the engine bay, or for convenience, somewhere under the dashboard or glove box. helped my friend set that up with his car. they stole his car the first time, after we installed the kill switch, they couldn't steal it the second time..

I'm surprised more people don't have their own hidden kill switches.
My friends and I have always put kill switches in our cars since we were in high school.
Someone tried to jack one of my cars 2 years ago or so. it was an 84 RX7.
They opened her up, pushed her around the corner and tried to fire her up and I had my window open while I slept. Well I heard it. I ran. Someone wasn't fast enough and caught some mighty whips of my baseball bat. The other car took off. LOL.
Kill switches!. The only way to do it.
Runa relay and a switch on the ignition coil or on the fuel pump.
i preffer the fuel pump kill switch because it leaves enough fuel in the system to let the car start and make some noise then it just dies in a few seconds.

hidden kill switches or just take plug wires/fuses/etc.
Most thieves don't have the time to find what the missing link is...BESIDES, how many theives cary spark plug wires?

Its probably since most people dont know how or where to start for a kill switch.

I have 2 kill switches, 1 for fuel pump, 1 for ignition power to Megasquirt. I also have a Viper 791XV installed, I also have a switch that if miraculously they some how got the car running Megasquirt will switch over to a map that pretty much retards a lot of stuff so driving the car becomes nuisance (sp?). If I want to take it a step forward I'll disable my EDIS module and the car wont do shit but turn over.

LOL nah the only difficult part is adding the Viper alarm, everything is cake so thus why the extra crap. My car was broken into before I added all the security features and I was pissed and swore to never let some douche bag have a time of their life picking my parts. Sucks too because I had my car parked in my Apartment complex and they stole $1000 worth of parts.
I'm fortunate enough to have my brother work at Best Buy so I got the Viper alarm for $170 instead of $500.

o man, what a deal! yea, i work at circuit city so i can kinda figure how ur bro got it for that cheap. and heck yea, id fork over the extra bones if i had $1k worth of equip in the car. unlike me thou... my car is gutted entirely... only thing a theif will be stealing is a rusted chassis with a slipping auto tranny and 200k mi engine, lol... the $20 brake lock bar is good for me ^_^ hehehe

hey my girl lives in Brentwood! thats like right by antioch and stuff. Anyway, i agree get an ignition shut off or fuel shut off switch and a quick release steering wheel..... then you just have to worry about the fuckers with their stupid tow trucks. lol.
