It seems legit, but I would just get a better fuel filter.

it's BS.
Same thing you get sold on infomercials.

those are two totally different things, im sure it wouldnt make any noticable changes at all...

So how often do you have to clean out the deal from all the bad guy particles it collects?

Its just a expensive magnet.

You don't - it's a MAGNET.
It's CRAP, TopFuel or not.

One of my friends who is an engineer is testing a product similar to this on his Miata. I'm anxious to see the results.

God damn it, i keep my credit card next to my fuel line, that cant be good.

Crap. The same crap that they sell at all the automotive stores here for 20 bucks without a "Top Fuel" logo on it.

I'm confused. How does it collect/purify something with no residue left over?

It doesn't collect or purify anything. Nothing passes thru it. You clamp it onto a fuel line and that's it, it 'magically' performs as much as you imagine it can.

i dont understand how it atomizes the particles in fuel. what properties of gasoline allow it to be affected by a magnet?

if it does work (the concept of using a magnet to pullthe atoms, particles, whatever apartin the fuel to spread it out to make less dense and ultimately allow for cleaner fuel burn or consumption then by all means get it. but we need someone to test it on their car so we can get hard numbers. i personally dont think i'd used it but hey assueme it does for a moment

"FuelMaster
Simply strap to your fuel line to save gas and increase engine efficiency. FuelMaster's magnetic field breaks up clusters of hydrocarbon for more complete burning.

Prevents build-up of dirt in engine injectors. Gives you 11.6% average highway fuel savings as tested by an EPA accepted laboratory.

Use it on four cylinder cars and trucks."

go to harbor freight and get one, see how it works.

its junk. dosent do anything. the "idea" is that the magnet is supposed to seperate the gas particles (?) inside the fuel line, except that gasoline isnt made of iron dust, its made of, err, gasoline.

Modern Marvels - Magnets on the History Channle, you'll be admase, they showed a SGR 1806-20 magnet machine at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center pull a frog in the air and made it hover, and those frog are 75% water.

isn't mercury liquid metal?

axiomatik

lead is not magnetic. gasoline is UNLEADED because lead destroys catalytic converters. gasoline is not magnetic. frogs don't have mercury (unless they live somewhere polluted). the magnet that picked up the frog is millions and millions of times stronger than this piece of junk. It was able to pick up the frog because most molecules have the slightest (read: nearly undetectable) amount of 'magnetism' due to unbalanced dispersion of their electrons. there is nowhere near enough magnetic power in this piece of junk to make any difference in your your car, NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST. maybe if you had one of those nasa magnets in each of your injectors you would notice a change, this item will do nothing but take your money. why are we still discussing this? it is a piece of junk based on pseudo-science designed to exploit your lack of scientific knowledge.

i have something like this in my car, i got it as a prototype thing like 5 years ago, it does a lot of jack.

on the manual it says that it can poloarize the fuel molecules to help smoother flow etc, sounds like gibbrish.
