I have a Asus P5NSLI board... really good... Its not a overclocker thou. I'm getting a E6600 too and around the max overclock on the cpu can be around 2.7 to a 2.8ghz... so its not too bad... Price is awesome and its SLI

I was looking to buy an Alienware once before I built my current gaming computer. I just couldn't get over the size. I was buying it so I could combine my gaming rig with a laptop to take to class and the size killed it. I built the computer below after I made my decision.

I wound up getting a loaded Latitude D600 from my work for 50$ since they were going out of business. One helluva deal.

That's hilarious! BTW, can anyone tell me exactly what the "Turbo" button on old computers did? I was playing with one some time ago and it didn't seem to do anything.

I'm thinking about upgrading to 775, too. Too bad the drifter board doesn't support it.
hey, Maverick, are you the guy from Nico? You're name is the same.

I think it was a overclock sort of thing...It would jump a few clocks to still keep it safe...

Ah.. Makes sense.. Guess they decided to do away with it since everyone overclocked pas that anyway.

I'm still trying to decide if it was done in a smart-ass manor, as to insult me, or for some other unseen reason...
Either way I feel honored to have made it to a sig...

I dunno why exactly I put it in there, just a good quote from a funny thread. No insults intended, though.

Yes, it was typically left turned on from what I gather and when a program that could not function at such a high speed (such as games) ran, they would turn it off so that it could operate normally. Here are a few resources...

From what ive been reading the new zalman, simialr to AJ's but with a 70mm fan, is better than mine, tuniq, and the scythe ninja. I would say get the zalman.
I hope my setup fits. It might be close with the power supply.
