Compression chk/ and Leak down test

cyl 1: 162
cyl 2: 165
cyl 3: 163
cyl 4: 165

Leak down:  3% (5 psi)

Whatdya think?  Sounds excellent to me.

I don't have any experience with the 240 compression or leakdown tests.  However, all books I have seen say that 5% is great and you have very consistant readings too, sounds great.  Now it's time for the turbo (or did you already have one, sorry if you did :-) )

did you do this test yourself? how much will a shop usually charge for this?

I had the dealership do it.  That was on a motor with 90,000 miles on it.  I think it's fairly impressive
it was $70

I used to own a 90 240' auto w/injen short ram. &nbsp;I used to piss me off b/c my gf had a Saturn SC2 5-speed and she could beat me racing straight line. &nbsp;

Now that I've got my 92 5-speed, I have no doubt I can kick her ass, although I haven't raced her yet. &nbsp;Only had the car for 5 days

that's the only car I could think of too, I just thought that it wasn't it, because that car is slow. &nbsp;Anyway, good luck, it would suck if my girlfriends car was faster too

i've always thought you were talkin' bougt a sc200, now i realized there are no sc200, the lowest was sc300. &nbsp;so i been thinking you were talking about a sc300 =b

what is even worse is that she needs a ring job. &nbsp;She was blowing smoke as soon as she hit about 4 grand.. &nbsp;really looked bad. &nbsp;The one good time we raced, she barely beat me, and I ended up getting pulled over. &nbsp;He tried to pull us both over but I flashed her and signaled her to take off. &nbsp;So, she got away, and I ended up getting a ticket for 54 in a 45.. &nbsp;Suck!.. but better than the Street racing ticket he said he could've given me. &nbsp;

It's all good though b/c she felt really bad about it, and I got some &quot;Special Treats&quot; &nbsp;lol.. ~shibby~
