My daily commute car has about 160k miles is it time to get a motor swap? Also had some questions about the differences between sr20de and ka24de and price range? How long should I wait to get a motor swap? I live in CALIFORNIA so it needs to pass smog, any suggestions? Thanks for your guys help.^^

If you're just daily driving it and don't intend to turbo it then 160k is fine. With basic maintanence it has plenty of life left in it. Are you asking if an SR will pass smog? I'm not from california so I'm not sure, but I think they're pretty strict about that sort of thing and the SR is not legal.

Holy fuck. Seriously kid, do you even bother to think for a second before you post this retarded shit?
it's time to get a 'motor swap' when you throw a rod out the side of the block or something drastic. If there's nothing wrong with the car then keep driving it and quit asking these remedial questions.

Maybe you should start doing research so when your motor does go you can decide on a swap or a rebuild.
Turbo your KA imo. Kthx.

I am closing this before it gets out of hand.
I suggest reading and doing some HEAVY research. This is one of those conversations that NEVER turns out pretty, so I will not entertain a thought of letting it continue.
